Path of Exile 2 (PoE2) offers several Ascendancies with their unique passives. Take a look at them before you make your decision.
In Early Access, Path of Exile 2 offers 6 out of 12 planned classes to choose from. Each of these classes offers 2 further ascendancies that players can take. What makes these ascendancies truly stand out is that they have a level of depth and uniqueness to their gameplay mechanics.
To unlock the passives a particular ascendancy brings in Path of Exile 2, players would have to gain ascendancy points. The adventurers of Wraeclast must complete the Trial of the Sekhemas in Act 2. After finishing it successfully, you will gain two ascendancy points that you can use to unlock your first ascendancy.
Before you make a decision, take a look at the passives that these ascensions offer.
1. Warrior Ascendancies
Titan
- Stone Skin: 50% additional armor from the already-equipped Body Armor
- Earthbreaker: 20% chance to cause Aftershocks after you use a Slam skill
- Ancestral Empowerment: Ancestrally Boost every second Slam skill
- Colossal Capacity: Add 20 Inventory slots
- Hulking Form: Small Passive Skill Tree skills have 50% more effect
- Crushing Impacts: All hits become Crushing Blows
- Surprising Strengths: Gain 40% damage boost when attacking stunned Heavy enemies
- Mysterious Lineage: 15% increase to Maximum Life
Warbringer
- Anvil’s Weight: Break Armor equals 10% of hit damage dealt
- Imploding Impacts: Break the enemy’s Armor below 0 to increase the damage dealt
- Jade Heritage: Protects players from all damage but restricts movement
- Wooden Wall: 20% Hit damage is taken from nearest Totem’s Life instead of your own
- Turtle Charm: Block without raising a shield and reduce the enemy’s Block chance by 35%
- Warcaller’s Bellow: Using Warcry explodes corpses in your surrounding area, causing 25% of the Max Life damage to nearby enemies
- Greatwolf’s Howl: Remove all Warcry cooldowns
2. Witch Ascendancies
Blood Mage
- Vitality Siphon: Leech 10% of Spell Damage as Life
- Open Sores: Curses have infinite duration
- Blood Barbs: Gain 10% extra Physical damage and Elemental damage also contributes to Bleeding strength
- Gore Spike: Each 40 Max Life increases critical hit damage by 1%
- Sunder the Flesh: Increase the critical hit chance of Spells by 15%
- Grasping Wounds: 25% of Life loss from Hits is instead spread out over 4 sec
- Crimson Power: Body Armor’s energy shield rating contributes to max life
Infernalist
- Beidat’s Gaze: Reserves 25% of Life and +1 to Max Mana for every 6 Max Life you have
- Beidat’s Will: Reserves 25% of Life and +1 to Max Spirit for every 25 Max Life you have
- Beidat’s Hand: Reserves 25% of Life and +1 to Max Energy Shield for every 8 Max Life you have
- Mastered Darkness: Max Demonflame increased to 10
- Bringer of Flame: When low on Infernal Flame, all damage from you and your allies contributes to Ignite Chance
- Seething Body: When high on Infernal Flame, 20% damage from you and your allies is Fire Damage.
- Grinning Immolation: Ignite after landing a Critical Hit. This takes 15% of Life and Energy Shield as Fire Damage every second but grants 30% increased Critical Damage
3. Mercenary Ascendancies
Gemling Legionnaire
- Crystalline Potential: +10% to Quality of all Skills
- Implanted Gems: +1 to Level of all Skills
- Integrated Efficiency: Grants +3 Skill Points
- Gem Studded: Use two copies of the same Support Gem in two different Skills
- Adaptive Capability: Attribute requirements for gems can be satisfied by your highest Attribute
- Enhanced Effectiveness: Inherited bonuses from all three attributes are doubled
Witchhunter
- Weapon Master: 20 Passive Skill Points become Weapon Set Skill Points
- Pitless Killer: Grants the Culling Strike Ability
- Judge, Jury, and Executioner: Grants the Decimating Strike Ability
- No Mercy: Deal up to 30% more damage to enemies based on their missing Concentration
- Zealous Inquisition: 10% chance for enemies to explode upon killing. Their Max Life will be taken as the damage is dealt. This chance is doubled against Undead and Demons.
4. Sorceress Ascendancies
Chronomancer
- Now and Again: All skills have a 33% to not consume a Cooldown upon use
- Quicksand Hourglass: Cast Speed is increased by 50% for 4 seconds, every 12 seconds
- Apex of the Moment: Enemies near you are Slowed by 20%
- Circular Heartbeat: 30% of all damage taken is instead Recouped as Life
- The Rapid River: Recoup Effects instead occur over 4 seconds
Stormweaver
- Scouring Winds: All elemental exposure you inflict upon an enemy lowers the affected Resistance by 20%
- Rain Dancer: The Elemental Storm skill has a 150% faster Cooldown recovery
- Shaper of Water: Damage from all hits contributes to Chill Magnitude
- Shaper of Storms: Damage from all hits contributes to Shock Chance
- Force of Will: Every 15 maximum Mana increases 1% effect of Arcane Surge
- Heart of the Storm: 40% of all Elemental Damage taken is Recouped in your Energy Shield
5. Ranger Ascendancies
Deadeye
- Avidity: When you gain a Frenzy Charge, there is a 30% chance that you gain up to the maximum number of those charges
- Thrilling Chase: Benefits from consuming Frenzy Charges have a 50% chance to double up.
- Eagle Eyes: No Accuracy Penalty when at a distance
- Specialization Far Shot: Projectiles deal more damage after traveling 3.5m and scale up to 20% beyond reaching 7m.
- Specialization Point Blank: Projectiles deal up to 20% more damage before they reach 3.5m. The bonus damage reduces gradually and becomes 0% beyond 7m
Pathfinder
- Connected Chemistry: Gain 50% more Flask Charges
- Traveller’s Wisdom: Grants 5 Passive Skill Points
- Running Assault: Reduce movement speed penalty by 30% when using Skills while moving
- Relentless Pursuit: Your speed is unaffected by the Slow status effect
6. Monk Ascendancies
Acolyte of Chayula
- Lucid Dreaming: Flames of Chayula duration is doubled
- Embrace the Darkness: Replaces Spirit with Darkness and Reserves at a 1:1 ratio
- Grasp of the Void: Each 20 Unreserved Darkness deals 1% additional damage as extra Chaos Damage
- Inner Silence: Darkness Reservation duration reduced by 50%
Invoker
- Faith is a Choice: Grants Meditate Skill that allows you to overcharge your Energy Shield for double the normal maximum
- The Soul Springs Eternal: Meta Skills give you 35% more Energy
- Sunder my Enemies: Your Critical Hits will now ignore non-negative enemy Elemental Resistances
- …and Scatter Them to the Winds: Trigger a massive elemental explosion with melee Critical Hits using the Elemental Expression skill
