These are like mini bases that will allow you to do all the basic stuff but will not have any special NPCs other than Alma and your Palico. Each region has a varied number of Pop-up Camps available, although you can only set up a specific number of them.

How to make Pop-up Camps in Windward Plains

In Monster Hunter Wilds, you can have at most five Pop-up Camps set up in the Windward Plains at any given point of time. The choice of which camp location to set up lies with you. In case you want to build a camp at a different location while already having five, you need to destroy an existing camp first.
You can either visit the location of the Pop-up Camps to build them by using the Camping Kit, or you can simply talk to the Pop-up Camp Meowster situated at your Base Camp to build them. The same process also holds true when it comes to destroying a Pop-up Camp in Monster Hunter Wilds. Note that you must first manually discover a camp location to use the Meowster and build there.
Moreover, dangerous areas are very prone to being destroyed by monsters. However, they will automatically be repaired by the Pop-up Camp Purrofessional, who can be found beside your camp at all times. You can speed up this process by talking to the Purrofessional and spending some Guild Points.
