Sakamoto Days is the most hyped new series airing in Winter 2025 and lives up to its name. The story follows a retired hitman named Sakamoto who is living the ordinary life with his wife and daughter while managing a convenience store.

Unfortunately, his peace is constantly interrupted by the enemies of his past. With assassins on the lookout for him, he will have to keep his promise of not killing anyone while protecting his loved ones. 

Sakamoto Days is a very enjoyable anime combining exhilarating action and quirky characters. Filled with heartfelt moments and bright visuals, the series has already captivated fans with its first few episodes. 

2) Zenshuu

Studio MAPPA’s latest original anime, Zenshuu, is a creative series revolving around a talented animator named Natsuko. However, the life of this profession follows intense deadlines and constant stress, one that the protagonist feels when struggling to come up with a new storyboard.

When lacking inspiration, she suddenly ends up in the world of her favorite anime – A Tale of Perishing. Knowing that the story of her new setting is destined for disaster, she discovers a unique power that can change the plot. Using this, Natsuko goes down a path of self-discovery, chaos and excitement.

I Have a Crush At Work covers a niche area of romance anime, one where the couple is actually dating. It follows the life of Yui and Masugu, two co-workers deeply in love but trying to keep their relationship secret in the office.

Their home life filled with chemistry is the exact opposite of their demeanor with each other in public. However, the emotions of their heart often spill over, causing hilarious scenes and misunderstandings. 

I Have a Crush At Work is a cute story with an adult cast, covering lesser-explored intricacies of relationships. This makes it an engaging watch you’ll want to try.

Medalist is a brilliant sports anime that hooks you right from the first episode. It follows the world of figure skating, where a man named Tsukasa is forced to give up on his goal of reaching the top. However, when living as a shell of his former self, he runs into a talented young girl named Inori.

Recognizing her potential as a figure skater, he decides to become her mentor, helping her overcome struggles in the sport and life. Together, the pair grow together while exploring this beautiful yet straining sport.

Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms might not get the highest of ratings, but it is a show that leaves you thoroughly entertained. It introduces a monk-in-training named Medaka who attempts to abstain from worldly desires.
