Jura is the next big threat in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as fans got a glimpse of his abilities in a skirmish with the protagonist
The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga is progressing at a steady rate, and fans are excited to see what will unfold in the coming chapters. There are plenty of reasons for excitement. However, there is one reason that stands out—a substantial increase in power. Characters have gotten incredibly strong after the three-year time skip. The protagonist has shown plenty of promise during the initial skirmishes against Code and Kawaki.
However, there is a new enemy in town, and he could be the strongest enemy that Boruto has ever faced. Jura is the next big threat in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex and the village of Konohagakure must watch out.
Jura leads the Shinju, who are the new antagonists introduced in the show. They made their appearance early in the Two Blue Vortex manga series. It’s clear that Masashi Kishimoto intends to make them take on some of the strongest Konohagakure members. Boruto has long surpassed Sasuke Uchiha. This was confirmed in the manga series.
We have seen plenty of antagonists in the past. The Otsutsuki Clan has produced some of the most powerful beings that ever set foot on this planet. However, the Shinju seems to pose a bigger threat. Let’s see what the Shinju have done so far and why Jura is one of the biggest threats that the village has ever seen.
About the Shinju in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Before we understand who Jura is, it is important to know who the Shinju are and what their objective is. They are the God Trees who managed to achieve sentience. Code had access to the pseudo-Ten-Tailed Beast chakra. They made an appearance in the humanoid form. Following this, they managed to seal a shinobi from Konohagakure. They achieved sentience after sealing a shinobi. The seal also gave them the abilities of the person who was captured.
Furthermore, they also achieve a similar appearance. This is why Hidari looks like Sasuke, and Ryu looks like Shinki. The group doesn’t have a collective goal per se. However, each member has an individual goal. They have chosen targets, and their goal is to consume them.
They don’t particularly answer to anybody, and they are trying to figure out who they are. This is why the leader of the group asked the rest of the group to follow its instincts. Therefore, members of the group are out to hunt their targets. Some of the group members are quite close to achieving their goals.
All Members of the Shinju in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex
Jura is the leader of the Shinju. The manga is yet to reveal who Jura sealed to gain sentience. Additionally, we have reason to believe that it is someone who’s close to Naruto. Up next, we have Hidari, who sealed Sasuke to gain sentience. He also gained his powers, showcasing techniques like Chidori, which is Sasuke’s bread and butter in the manga series. Following that, we have Mamushi, who sealed Bug to gain sentience.
Ryu and Matsuri sealed Shinki and Moegi respectively. These are all the members of the Shinju at the moment. However, their numbers could grow as the God Tree entities are aplenty. It’s just a matter of sealing a shinobi to gain sentience, which has proven to be quite easy for this lot.
Why Is Jura the Next Big Threat in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?
It is important to note that the manga has yet to show his full powers. There are plenty of elements that are shrouded in mystery. Masashi Kishimoto is a master of peeling these elements layer by layer. Therefore, we don’t really know just how powerful he is. However, we have gotten a glimpse of his powers, and that gives us some context with respect to his powers. Jura had a brief skirmish with the protagonist in one of the recent chapters.
Boruto showed plenty of promise since he was able to create new variants of the Rasengan. This was no ordinary technique since it utilized the rotational energy of the planet and its effects were permanent.
Despite boasting such powers, Jura managed to overwhelm him easily. One can argue that the protagonist hasn’t shown his true potential either. That is true since he was forced to flee when Kawaki activated his Karma Mode. However, you can counter by stating that Jura hasn’t revealed his true powers either. There is one more element in the equation that is important to understanding Jura’s powers.
Kashin Koji has the ability to look into the future and he had a secret conversation with Shikamaru. He asked the Hokage not to engage with Jura because there is not a single person who can defeat him at the moment. Jura is clearly stronger than Boruto, as per Kashin Koji’s reports.
Can Jura be Defeated in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex?
It is highly unlikely that Jura can be defeated at the moment. However, there is a chance that Kawaki could gain a massive power-up in the manga. Therefore, he could lend a hand to Boruto and help him take down Jura. Currently, Kawaki needs to put his personal goals aside and help Boruto save the village. This was foreshadowed in one of the earlier chapters. Kawaki realized that the Shinju were powerful and they needed to be dealt with first. However, Konohagakure must quietly defeat other Shinju members and unseal the likes of Sasuke, Shinki, and Moegi who would play a role in defeating Jura.
Conclusion
Jura is possibly the strongest character in the manga right now. We know nothing about Shibai Otsutsuki. Therefore, we are excluding the Otsutsuki God from this discussion. Given Boruto’s impressive power-up, fans thought he’d be able to thwart the new villain. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case and therefore, fans can expect all prominent shinobi from Konohagakure to team up and take on Jura.
