With the addition of 11 new games, this year’s January lineup for the PlayStation Plus is looking promising, So, Let’s talk about it.
Sony’s PlayStation Plus catalog for January 2025 sees the addition of several new games, with some popular titles like God of War: Ragnarok, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and Anno: Mutationem. On January 21, 2025, Sony will add a total of eleven games to its PS Plus Extra and Premium library, including the titles we mentioned.
But the subscribers of the PlayStation Plus Premium plan will benefit the most. That is because it includes all games added to the PS Plus Extra and it will also have Indiana Jones: The Staff of Kings and MediEvil 2, which are exclusive to the premium library.
Sony announced that all of the eleven games will be accessible from January 21, 2025. However, regardless of their tier, all PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play the free games that were added to the library such as Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit before the next month’s lineup arrives.

God of War Ragnarok
God of War Ragnarok is the sequel to the God of War (2018) title. Set in the world of Norse Mythology, the game allows the players to explore the world of Midgard among other realms. After the events of the previous game, Odin and Thor come to visit Kratos and his son. The Norse gods extend an offer to Kratos, saying that if Kratos stops seeking Tyre and stops spilling the blood of the Aesir gods, they will leave him and his son alone.
However, Kratos is also being hunted by Freya as she seeks vengeance for the death of her son. Among all these events, Midgard is witnessing the harshest winter it has ever seen, marking the beginning of Ragnarok.
Join Kratos and Atreus as they go on a journey to seek out Tyr while battling with various gods and monsters from Norse mythology, as the end of the world approaches.
Conclusion
God of War: Ragnarok and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name are the two notable games on the list. While fans will be looking forward to playing these relatively new titles, Indiana Jones and The Staff of Kings will be a nostalgic addition for gamers of the PS2 era.
