Satisfactory, Coffee Stain Studios’ factory simulation title, allows players to navigate and build their own sprawling factories. With that in mind, the game also features Blueprints, which allow you to use pre-made templates to explore.

However, it can be a bit tricky to get used to the Blueprints in Satisfactory. This article will break down how to not only use Blueprints but also download custom Blueprints for Satisfactory.

Blueprints in Satisfactory can range from simple conveyor belt designs to entire production complexes or factories. Utilizing Blueprints in your playthrough can help you save a ton of time and even allow you to replicate pleasing designs created by other players.

That being said, to use a Blueprint, you will have to find one first. You can find Blueprints within Satisfactory itself. Or, you can go to websites like Satisfactory Calculator that host blueprints created by other players. From these websites, you can download Blueprints, which should generally be in .sml format.

Once the download is complete, you can place the downloaded Blueprint file in the Satisfactory Blueprints folder. This will be typically located at – \Users[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\CoffeeStainStudios\ satisfactory\Saved\SaveGames[YourSaveGame]. After doing so, you can launch Satisfactory.

Load into the save file where you want to use the downloaded Blueprint and open the Blueprint Manager in the Build Menu. After you locate and import the Blueprint, you can place it in your world and explore it to your heart’s content.

Be sure to create a save file before importing a Blueprint so you can revert your save to its original form in case the Blueprint does not work as planned.
