Katano Castle is one of the locations you will be infiltrating in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. You’ll most likely be familiar with the layout of this area because it’s the setting for the opening mission. Returning to this castle is worth your time because you can uncover various loots from this area, similar to other castles in the game.

Where To Find Katano Castle

The Katano Castle is in Izxumi Settsu just south of Osaka.

Samurai Daisho 1

You can find a Samurai Daisho patrolling the northeastern part of the castle grounds. There are fewer enemies in this area, giving you a good spot to take him down without attracting too much attention.

Samurai Daisho 2

The other Samurai Daisho is also patrolling an area. He can be found in the construction area of the castle in the southeastern sector. You can wait for him to enter an alley before attacking him to reduce the chances of drawing attention.

Katano Castle Kura Key and Legendary Chest Location

The Kura Key is inside a building in the northeastern part of Katano Castle. If you haven’t taken down the Samurai Daisho in this area, he will be patrolling, and you need to take him down first to safely retrieve the key.

Once you grab the Kura Key, you can gather extra loot along with the Legendary Chest found on top of the main castle. When climbing the walls, don’t forget to use Eagle Vision to ensure you won’t be spotted by anyone. If you can get to the roof of the castle, there is a trapdoor that leads inside the building.

The Legendary Chest contains the Tools Master gear. This Light Armor for Naoe has a main perk called Kunai Throw on Assassinate. This can be useful if you are going for an assassin build.

Valuable Object: Insect Cage

The Insect Cage is also in the main tower of Katano Castle near the Legendary Chest. Be careful, as there will be guards in the area. You can choose to sneak past them or clear the room.
