Avowed’s Forged In Star-Stuff Mission is one of many side quests you can do in the Living Lands. Here’s how to complete it.
Players will trigger the Forged of Star-Stuff side quest in Avowed once they enter the Living Lands. However, this quest is a bit different because you won’t be able to complete it until you unlock the final region in the game. The mission in itself is simple enough and has some similarities with other side quests you will come across.
The main objective is for you to collect different Starmetals planted in each of the regions of the game and then give them to a specific Blacksmith. But when you proceed to take the first step, you will notice that there is no proper marker for these Starmetals. In this article, we will explore how you can finish the Forged of Star-Stuff quest in Avowed.
How To Complete The Forged in Star-Stuff Quest in Avowed
To start the quest, you will first have to pick up a Starmetal Fragment. There is one Starmetal in every region of the game; find one of them, and the next objective will be unlocked. Remember that not every blacksmith can make weapons with the Starmetal. In fact, only one NPC can, and he is the Forgemaster Dela in Solace Keep. Solace Keep is located in the Galawain’s Tusk region in Avowed.
Once you reach Solace Keep, take the stairs leading down to find Forgemaster Dela. Give him the starmetal, and he will tell you that he can make a sword or an Arquebus or both if you have all of the Starmetals with you. You can use the first two Starmetals to get the Meteor Blade and the Moonstrike Arquebus, and the remaining two starmetals can be used to upgrade both of the weapons. After upgrading, they will become Ondra’s Offense and Heavenstrike.
Dawnshore Starmetal Fragment
The first Starmetal Fragment will be in the Godless Altar, which is in Dawnshore. It is the first region of the map you will explore in the game. To find the fragment, go to the southeast part of the region where the bridge leads to the Emerald Stairs. Once there, head towards the east side of Paradis. There you will see a stone arc and some structures that look like a ritual site. Go past the arc, and after defeating some enemies, you will find the first Starmetal Fragment on the Altar.
Emerald Stair Starmetal Fragment
For our next fragment, we move to the second region of the map, the Emerald Stair. First, you will need to go to the Rolling Crags Party Camp. From there, head towards the south, and you should be able to spot a lake that connects to a waterfall. Now, jump down in the cavern of the waterfall, but don’t forget about the fall damage. Once you are down in the cavern, walk straight, and you will find the Starmetal Fragment slightly on the right side of your path. However, you will have to fight some spiders to get it.
Shatterscarp Starmetal Fragment
The third fragment will be in the abandoned mines in Shatterscarp. Head towards the east of the Ancient Lakebed, and you will come across the abandoned mines. Now, follow the rocks to the left of the Thirdborn Party camp, and you should be able to find a small cave that leads into the mines. Once inside, climb the rocks and platforms to reach the top of the Abandoned Mines. The Starmetal will be on a cliff overlooking the party camp on the left side.
Galawain’s Tusk Starmetal Fragment
The last Starmetal Fragment will be in the Ash Forest in Galawain’s Tusk. The forest will be just southwest of The Living Archives. Additionally, there is also a bounty available in that same location, so we recommend that you pick up Destul’s Bounty beforehand. The Starmetal will be in the middle of a crater in the ash forest. And once you pick it up, the boss fight will begin.
