Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, launched his new reality show Beast Games on December 19. One of the participants of the show accused the production of mistreatment and filed a report with the Las Vegas Police Department. Contestant Amanda Rose, who has a YouTube channel under the same name, posted a video talking about the alleged incident.

Rose claims that she was kicked in the head as a contestant and is currently recovering from a brain injury. She also claimed that she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement and was unable to speak out until now. The contestant was among the original 2,000 participants in the qualifying rounds, and she is not part of the ten-episode series airing on Prime Video.

The incident allegedly occurred during the Briefcase Challenge segment of the qualifiers. Players had to locate briefcases with green cards inside them. Rose recalled that she was knocked to the ground after a collision. Following the incident, no one in the crew allegedly referred her to a medical professional.

Amanda Rose Claimed There Was No Exit Medical Care

During the nearly two-hour-long video, Amanda Rose stated:

“Can you guess how many people referred me to the nurse’s station? Or like to the medical crew where people were waiting? How many people? Yeah? Zero.”

Rose said that she posted the video to maintain a record of her statement so that it could be used by authorities. She also revealed that she did not experience any symptoms until the day after her exit.

MrBeast and other members of the production crew are yet to issue an official response to the former contestant’s claims.

Other Controversies Surrounding Beast Games

Amanda Rose is not the only contestant accusing Beast Games of mistreatment. Five other unnamed contestants filed a lawsuit against the show for mistreatment. Some of the allegations presented in the lawsuit include the denial of food, water, medication, and beds during the production of the qualifiers.

A class action lawsuit against the reality TV show was filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court with 14 causes of action. Some of the contestants also claimed that they did not receive adequate payment for their time on the show.

MrBeast’s spokesperson issued a formal statement to Hollywood Reporter stating:

“We have communicated directly with 97 percent of the 2,000 people who attended to ask for feedback, have launched a formal review of the process, and have taken steps to ensure that we learn from this experience and we are excited to welcome hundreds of men and women to the world’s largest game show in history.”

Multiple news outlets reached out to Amazon for comment and did not receive a response. On November 25, MrBeast himself replied to a tweet on X, saying that the claims are “blown out of proportion.” He stated that behind-the-scenes footage will drop alongside the show to address the controversies.
