Though this deck might look weird on paper, it works quite well. Here is an 18 trainers Articuno deck guide for Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Using 18 Trainers in a Pokemon TCG Pocket deck sounds like something out of a meme deck. However, you will be shocked to know that the deck works quite well in practice. This deck funnels all its resources into one or two key Pokemon on the battlefield (Articuno in this case). Other than these Pokemon, the entire deck is comprised of various Pokemon trainers, Support Items and Pokemon Tools.
This is also a very simple deck to use and has a low cost to start using. Additionally, as most of the cards are quite common, it doesn’t require a high investment to build. Here is a complete decklist and basic combos on how to use the 18 trainers Articuno deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Decklist for 18 Trainers Articuno Deck for Pokemon TCG Pocket

This deck requires 2 copies of a singular Pokemon. The other 18 are all used as supports for these main damage dealers. Here is the complete decklist for this deck:
- 2x Articuno Ex
- 2x Professor’s Research
- 2x Poke Ball
- 2x Potion
- 2x Misty
- 2x Irida
- 1x Giant Cape
- 1x Rocky Helmet
- 2x Cyrus
- 2x Sabrina
Your final two cards could be a variety of different cards. You can slot in Giovanni, if you want that crucial 10 extra damage to the enemy Pokemon to secure a KO. Mars can also be a good disruption strategy against your opponent hoarding cards in their hand. Lastly, Leaf is also a viable choice because she reduces the retreat cost for your Articuno to zero.
Key Cards in the 18 Trainers Articuno Deck for Pokemon TCG Pocket

Naturally, the focal point of this deck is the Articuno Ex card. The rest of your support cards are built around keeping Articuno alive while allowing it to deal more damage. This is done by using various cards like Potions, Irida, and Giant Cape. Irida in particular heals 40 HP from Articuno, letting it survive for much longer.
The Poke Ball is also key in thinning out your deck to get the cards you need. All your support cards are built around having Articuno on the field and ensuring its survival.
How To Use and Basic Combos

The deck needs to start off by stacking energy on Articuno. You already get the decent Icy Wing attack for using two energy. However, it really shines when you finally reach three energy. Misty is good at starting out your match for this purpose of stacking energy.
Irida and Potions will be used periodically to heal Articuno back up. Additionally, Sabrina can be used to disrupt the opponent’s strategies. Cyrus can also be used reliably in this deck. This is because Articuno’s Blizzard attack does 10 damage to benched Pokemon as well. So, you can switch the opponent’s active Pokemon to the backline and still get the KO with Blizzard. Poke Ball and Professor’s Research will be just generally good cards to use in most decks.
Counters

This deck becomes noticeably weaker if it does not have a good early start. This deck will also struggle to break already established boards. Mewtwo and Charizard Ex can both easily take out Articuno in one turn.
Pikachu Ex can also take out Articuno in two turns, whereas Articuno cannot defeat Pikachu Ex in one turn. Therefore, depending on the turn order, one Articuno might go down. That was a complete guide on the 18 Trainers Articuno Deck Guide in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
