There have been many games that explore the theme of a father figure or the relationship with a father in general. However, some games provide great examples of parenting and being a father figure in their story. In addition, the father figures in these games are so good that they have become an inspiration for parents in real life. So, we will be mentioning the 5 best fathers in gaming.

1. Radzig Kobyla

The real father of Henry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance, Radzig, belongs to a noble family. However, as Henry was born from his father’s affair with a commoner, Radzig was unable to claim him as his own. So, he let his friend Martin marry the girl and adopt Henry as his own and ensured that he would not face any problems in life.

Additionally, as the lord of Skalitz, he kept a close eye on Henry and had plans to reveal his true identity to him. However, the events of Kingdom Come: Deliverance changed everything.

2. Geralt of Rivia

While Ciri isn’t Geralt of Rivia’s biological daughter, he certainly treats her like she is. Geralt will do anything and everything to ensure his ward’s safety, even putting his own life on the line multiple times. Additionally, he also acted as her mentor at Kaer Morhen by teaching her the art of swordplay. Alongside this, he is there for Ciri during her lowest points, cheering her up whenever she is depressed, while also guiding her to the right path.

Also, Geralt is considered by many to be the best father figure in gaming.

After the tragic events of the first Yakuza game, Kiryu Kazuma adopted Haruka and became a father figure for her. While Kiryu is heavily involved in physical violence most of the time, he still taught her many life lessons and protected her from threats throughout the series. His selflessness, integrity, and the lessons he imparted to Haruka make him one of the best dads in gaming.

4. Kratos

Even in the Greek games, Kratos has always been a caring father. However, in the Norse games, he learned from the mistakes of his past and taught his new son, Atreus, to be better. He guides him to control his rage, be an effective warrior, and tells him stories that all have underlying moral lessons. All of this is brilliant because it is what a great father would do for his children in real life.

With Kratos’ guidance and teachings, Atreus matures and learns a lot during his teenage years and shows great resolve and spirit when fighting alongside his father. Atreus’ growth is one of the best things about the God of War franchise as a whole, which is why many fans adore it.

5. Lee Everett

Lee Everett is also a great example of an adoptive father figure in gaming. After he found Clementine alone in her home, he took her on as his own and protected her from all threats. Additionally, he comforted her and taught her many valuable lessons. It can also be said that Lee gave his own life in order to protect Clementine. As he had become infected, he chose to die to ensure that he would not hurt her after turning into a Walker.
