Epic Games’ Fortnite has seen a multitude of crossovers, and here we have highlighted some of the all-time best among them.
Epic Games’ Fortnite is a globally renowned free-to-play battle royale game, celebrated for its multitude of collaborations ranging from popular media franchises and anime to brands and celebrities. Since its launch in 2017, the game has continuously introduced content from various major and minor collaborations for each chapter and season, featuring unique skins, cosmetics, items, emotes, concerts, and more.
Before diving into the best Fortnite crossovers of all time, let’s take a look at some honorable mentions:
- Games: Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, God of War, Halo, The Witcher
- Media Franchise: Pirates of the Caribbean, John Wick, The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, Rick and Morty

Filtering out the best crossover from the extensive collection is no easy task. However, we have made a list featuring some of the best Fortnite crossovers of all time based on their popularity.
Note: This list is subjective and reflects the author’s opinion.
1) Marvel
It is impossible to proceed with Fortnite’s best crossovers list without mentioning Marvel. Since its launch, Fortnite has collaborated with Marvel and launched some unique cosmetics, skins, and game modes/events periodically over the years. Starting from Chapter 1, Marvel remains the best Fortnite crossover, with the recent collaboration, Absolute Doom (Chapter 5, Season 4), featuring a Day of Doom LTM, where players take on the role of Avengers to stop Doctor Doom.
However, Fortnite has already featured major LTMs with Marvel, such as the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame LTMs. Through the years, Fortnite has brought many fan-favorite Marvel characters, including Iron Man, Captain America, Spider-Man, Thanos, Loki, Doctor Strange, Hulk, Deadpool, and more.
2) DC
Next, we have DC Comics. Although the DC crossovers were mostly made in the earlier stages of Fortnite, they stand out as one of the best crossovers in the game to date, especially with the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, where Batman made his debut in the battle royale game. Fortnite has introduced various popular fan-favorite characters from DC, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Catwoman, The Flash, The Joker, and Black Adam, up to Chapter Three.
However, Black Adam was the final collab skin of the Fortnite x DC crossover, which was featured during Chapter Three: Season Four. Since then, fans of both Fortnite and DC have been hoping for another Fortnite x DC collaboration, which may likely happen with the upcoming James Gunn’s Superman.
3) Naruto
The Fortnite x Naruto crossover takes the anime hype to the next level among Fortnite fans. It also paved the way for more anime collaborations for Fortnite. Chapter 2: Season 8 introduced the globally popular anime series Naruto to the battle royale, featuring the OG Team Shinobi: Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and their sensei Kakashi.
In another collaboration event during Chapter 3: Season 3, Fortnite released skins for other popular and iconic characters from the anime, including Gaara, Itachi, Orochimaru, and Hinata.
4) Star Wars
Star Wars, a popular long-running media franchise, first collaborated with Fortnite during Chapter 2: Season 1. Since then, there have been multiple collaborations, making Star Wars one of the best and biggest crossovers in Fortnite history.
Over the years, Fortnite introduced iconic characters from the franchise, such as Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Krrsantan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Clone Troopers, and more. Moreover, the iconic Lightsaber was added to the battle royale game, building excitement and allowing players to recreate epic Star Wars fights.
5) Dragon Ball
The massive success of the Naruto crossover opened up more anime collaboration possibilities, which directly led to the iconic legendary anime Dragon Ball. Fortnite has had several collaborations with the Dragon Ball franchise over the last few chapters.
It introduced popular and iconic characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, Son Gohan, Goku Black, Frieza, Trunks, and more from Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Super. In addition to character skins, this collaboration implemented iconic Dragon Ball elements, such as using Kamehameha as a weapon and soaring through the skies using the Flying Nimbus.
6) Lionel Messi
Finally, we have Lionel Messi. Yes, it’s happening at last. The Fortnite x Lionel Messi collab has been a long-awaited one by fans, and they have finally gotten it. However, Messi is not the first football player to collaborate in the battle royale game, as we have already seen Neymar, Harry Kane, and Marco Reus sprinting across the battlefield.
Since Messi has officially joined the Fortnite club, fans are already excited and starting to debate the possibility of another legendary football icon, Cristiano Ronaldo.
