Low energy cost and high damage? A deck centered around Gallade Ex will surely be a powerful one to use in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

Gallade Ex joined Pokemon TCG Pocket with the Space-Time Smack Down booster pack. The male counterpart to Gardevoir is an excellent card to use to deal a lot of damage at a low energy cost.
Although there are better decks available, this deck is still not far behind and can get the job done when it’s used properly. Here is a proper guide for making a Gallade Ex deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Decklist for Gallade Ex Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

- 2 Ralts
- 2 Kirlia
- 2 Gallade
- 2 Druddigon
- 2 Pokemon Communication
- 2 Professor’s Research
- 2 Poke Ball
- 1 Sabrina
- 2 Leaf
- 2 Rocky Helmets
- 1 Potion
This is just one variation of this deck. You can also consider replacing one copy of Sabrina with a Giant Cape, for a bigger health pool on Gallade. Some new variations of a Gallade Ex deck are also being tested with cards like Lucario.
Alternatively, you could also remove the Potion in favor of something like Cyrus or Blue. Lastly, you can also consider slotting in cards like Giovanni if you want to eke out that extra damage.
Key Cards in the Gallade Ex Deck For Pokemon TCG Pocket

This deck mainly relies on two core cards, those being the namesake Gallade and Druddigon. Druddigon is seeing a lot of usage in decks due to its ability to tank and return damage to the enemy.
Meanwhile, Gallade will be the main damage dealer of the team with its low-cost move, Energized Blade. Cards like Pokemon Communication will be key in making sure you get a copy of Kirlia or Gallade into your hand.
Other than these, Poke Ball and Professor’s Research are just general staples used in all decks.
How To Use and Basic Combos
You should set up Druddigon in the active zone and have Ralts in the backline until your setup is complete. Druddigon will soak up damage, and deal some in return while being equipped with Rocky Helmet.
Meanwhile, Ralts will evolve into Kirlia, and eventually into Gallade. Once your energy is set up, you can use Leaf to retreat your Druddigon at no cost. Then Gallade can start swinging and hopefully, everything should die in quick succession.
Use Pokemon Communication to search out whichever Pokemon you need. Furthermore, you can use cards like Sabrina to disrupt their play whenever the time is right.
Weaknesses and Counters to the Gallade Ex Deck in Pokemon TCG Pocket

This deck does struggle against cards that can deal damage to Benched Pokemon. Therefore, cards like Greninja might be able to get rid of the Ralts or Kirlia without letting them evolve or you completing your play. Hitmonlee is another option that could hit your Ralts through Druddigon. So, be careful against decks with these cards.
Additionally, Gallade is also weak to Psychic types, so be wary of Mewtwo decks. Druddigon does not have any weaknesses, so he can do his job of tanking properly against most decks.
Moreover, you should also know when to use Gallade. If you bring out Gallade at the wrong time, or against the wrong Pokemon, then you might get wiped out with not much chance of making a comeback in this deck. Your timing will be crucial when playing this deck.
