Enhanced Augur, the new Everdark Sovereign boss in Elden Ring Nightreign, is significantly more challenging than its regular counterpart. While most of Augur’s attacks in its enhanced form remain identical to its regular variant, it does have a few new tricks up its sleeves (or tentacles).

Sleep is still the primary affinity the Nightlord uses. However, in its second phase, the boss can inflict Sleep more frequently using its “sleep bomb” and dive attacks. Thankfully, much like the regular Augur, the enhanced variant is susceptible to Lightning and is also the perfect prey for ranged Nightfarers. This is especially true for Ironeye, albeit with the right set of Relics.

Here’s a comprehensive guide on the best Ironeye build for Enhanced Augur in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Ironeye, by default, is arguably the best choice against Augur, simply due to the boss’s moveset and agility. Much like the regular variant, Enhanced Augur tends to stay in midair most of the time. While it does occasionally drop to the ground, there’s a very small window to attack, which makes it a frustrating battle for melee characters. However, for ranged characters like Ironeye, Augur is a breeze, especially with the right affinities and Relics.

Enhanced Augur is extremely weak to Lightning, which not only reduces its defense temporarily, but also staggers it. Although Lightning won’t stagger the boss in the second phase, it’s still very useful in this battle.

For the best Ironeye build, we’re sticking close to the basics of the character. We’re using Augur’s Relic for increased HP, and also Edge of Order for increased Bow damage and thrusting counterattack.

Tips to Use the Best Ironeye Build Against the Enhanced Augur in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here are some tips to help you use the best Ironeye build efficiently against Enhanced Augur:

  • Ironeye, similarly to Duchess and Recluse, is quite squishy. However, with Augur’s Relic, you will have enough HP to tank a few hits from the boss. That said, as Ironeye, you aren’t meant to take too much damage. And given the docile nature of Augur, it’s quite easy to stay out of harm’s way against this Nightlord, while also stacking affinity damage.
  • In terms of passives, you want to pick up increased ranged damage, increased maximum stamina, increased stamina recovery, and reduced projectile drop-off.
  • The first phase of the boss fight is fairly similar to the regular Augur. And with a Lightning Bow, you should be able to easily break through Augur’s defenses. Furthermore, in the first phase, it’s also very easy to stagger the boss with affinity attacks.
  • The second phase is a bit tricky. Make sure to keep your Ultimate Art saved to counter the “sleep bomb” attack. Additionally, always apply Mark to the boss when you get the chance. Marking will help amplify your physical and affinity damage.

Additional Notes

While we recommend using Lightning Relic for this boss, it’s not a necessity. You can inflict Bleed, Frostbite, and Poison on Augur. If you don’t have access to better affinities, using Sentient Pest’s Relic is a good option against Augur.
