You will find a variety of mini-games stashed around this beautiful landscape, keeping you occupied while helping you earn some good rewards and cash. From singing aboard your ship to snapping pics of sickos in a trolley, there is a lot to do. Here’s a list of the eight best mini-games to indulge in.
1) Golf
The golf mini-game is probably the easiest of all and can be found at Madlantis. You have two different game modes to choose from. In ‘Closest to the Pin,’ you are provided with 10 shots, each giving you a score based on how close or far the ball lands from the hole.
The second game, ‘Bingo,’ tasks you with hitting as many balls as possible out of 10 into the panels. With every other ball hit, the game challenges you further by moving the panels faster and faster. The overall feel of the game, with the shot meter and mechanics, makes it a fun pastime.
2) Karaoke
Arms hurting after all that swinging? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with some good old-fashioned karaoke. This sensational fan-favorite mini-game can be found at the Revolve Bar on Tsubaki Street once you have reached a specific mission in Chapter 2.
It can also be played aboard the Goromaru. With a fee of just $5, sing and dance to your heart’s content to a selection of seven songs, one of which is unlockable through a DLC.
3) Goro Goro Kitchen
Goro Goro Kitchen is a combination of three mini-games, creating a classic, fun, and fast-paced experience. You are first required to blow the fire, followed by preparing the ingredients, and lastly, skimming the scum.
Ingredients can be sourced in various ways, whether by collecting wild bugs, gathering meat, growing vegetables, or purchasing them directly from shopkeepers. Each mini-game requires you to use a different combination of buttons and game mechanics, making it even more challenging. As your level increases, new recipes unlock with enhanced difficulty. The more difficult the dish, the higher the value when you go to sell it.
4) Crazy Delivery
Crazy Delivery is a fast-paced mini-game fueled by Goro’s energy and determination to ride around the streets, making deliveries as fast as he can. After completing the sub-story ‘Stay Crazy’ in Chapter 2, this game mode is unlocked. You can trigger it by visiting either Anaconda Boulevard or Aloha Street.
The game, even though repetitive in nature, doesn’t get boring as it challenges you to get creative and faster with various tricks and short-turn opportunities. Once you level up from Green to Diamond rank, you are entitled to earn higher rewards and more cash.
5) Darts
Care for a game of darts? You can find this easy-to-master mini-game at the Crystal Aloha Resort, just northwest of Aloha Beach. To begin the game, simply approach the machine and pay $2. The currency may vary based on the region.
There are up to four game modes to choose from, each varying in point system and difficulty. As you progress through the game, you will unlock 12 darts, either by defeating rivals for them, purchasing them from shops, or collecting them from loot boxes. The rarer the darts, the more they ease your game.
6) Sicko Snap
As the name clearly states, the objective of this mini-game is to ride around Honolulu inside a trolley while you snap pictures of dancing sickos called ‘Papillon Boys’ as quickly as possible. It is easy to identify them as they are seen gracefully donning a set of tights with shoulder straps and a butterfly mask.
The more sickos you manage to capture, the more points you earn. The game will eventually end once the trolley reaches its destination or you run out of film.
7) Bang Bang Batting
Bang Bang Batting gives a challenging twist with the two modes available in this mini-game. In ‘Big Bang Bang,’ you are required to destroy barrels to reveal the lock and the treasure chest to move to the next stage.
The second game mode, ‘Endless Bang Bang,’ consists of a limited number of cannonballs, with the goal being to destroy as many barrels as possible. This game mode is brought to life with appealing visuals, different types of barrels, and an energetic soundtrack. This mini-game is sure to keep you swinging for a good long while.
8) Dragon Kart
Dragon Kart has always been and will forever continue to be a chaos-infused, entertaining drive. You start off with an option of three karts, each having its own pros and cons. The selection will further increase as you compete in more races.
Similar to Mario Kart, the goal is to blaze through the streets, leaving your opponents in the dust by hook or crook. That includes using speed boosts and weapons, which you can pick up during the drive, and blasting your enemies with them. Your karts can further be upgraded as you compete in more races, increasing your odds of winning in future races.
