Since Blue Protocol Star Resonance is a free-to-play game, some amount of time-gated mechanics are expected. These mechanics serve as a way to slow down the game and restrict players from finishing everything in one day.

These mechanics exist within Blue Protocol as well, in numerous ways. You can read about these below so that you know what tasks to focus on and how much you can perform.

Many things have a limit on how much you can perform them daily. Predominantly, these are:

  • Missions and Regions
  • Dungeons
  • Gathering and Crafting

Apart from these, there are some other ways in which the game limits you as well, but they are not as significant as the above-mentioned ones.

Missions and Regions

Firstly, Blue Protocol puts a limit on the amount of story you can cover per day. This includes the main quest, along with various side missions as well. Normally, you gain access to new missions and content every day. You can bypass this by returning to the game after a few days to have some days of content unlocked.

Apart from these missions, some regions are also time-gated. You will have to wait for some time for these regions to become unlocked for exploration.

Unstable Dungeons

These are a form of dungeons you can do to get quick rewards. You only have to fight the boss to get the drops. However, you can only run these dungeons twice a day.

This is likely done as a way to limit the materials you can get every day, and keep you logged in for a longer period of time.

Gathering and Crafting

Being an open-world game, you can explore the world and collect various materials across the map. However, doing so will consume Focus, a form of stamina for the game. After your Focus gets depleted, you get access to fewer materials.

Nevertheless, there are various ways to regain Focus in-game, although most players will have a limit to how much they can regenerate. These were some of the time-gated mechanics in Blue Protocol Star Resonance.
