The planet of Kairos, where Borderlands 4 is set, has no end to the number of things for you to do. Among the many side quests, it is inevitable that you will get involved with criminal organizations at some point.

Mob Mentality is a quest that involves rendering assistance to an enigmatic mobster known only as “The Boss.” He wants your help to secure something of his that has been lost. Here is a complete guide on how to complete the Mob Mentality mission in Borderlands 4.

Firstly, you will have to head to Belton’s Bore. There, on a table near a Golden Key chest, you will find an ECHO log. Through this ECHO log, The Boss will contact you and make you an offer you can’t refuse. You can then accept the Mob Mentality mission.

The same location will be marked in the image above.

Once you have accepted the mission, head North of Belton’s Bore to a club called The Pit, according to the mark on your map. Once you go inside, you will be prevented from meeting with The Boss by one of his bodyguards named Numba One, who will proclaim how he could use a drink.

Head to the bar to get him one, and the bartender will let slip that Numba One likes his drinks tossed on him for hydration purposes. Take the drink from behind the counter and throw it at him as instructed. Satisfied, Numba One will let you meet The Boss.

The Boss meets you while wearing a substitute mask and explains that his actual mask has gone missing. He asks you to get it back and tells you to go to a place called the Thirst Scrap to get more details from his fence, Pickett Fenster.

Once you reach the Thirst Scrap, Pickett will not immediately let you enter. Instead, he will ask you to deal with the Manglers outside the establishment first. After you have defeated them, Pickett will open his doors to you.

Although Pickett is willing to meet with you, once you question him about The Boss’s mask, he becomes nervous. He denies having any knowledge about the mask and drops some cryptic hints about looking up. To find out more, you will have to take an alternative route into the Thirst Scrap. If you want to find this path, you can read more about it here.

Once you find this path, Pickett will reveal that he was just testing you and tell you about the mask. He says that he sent a buyer for the mask to a dead drop site. You’ll have to get there fast if you want to retrieve the mask.

Recover the Mask

The Dead Drop Site will be located at Gilded Drop. Once you reach it, you will have to defeat some Creeps who have killed the buyer. After you have won, you can find the mask in an outhouse, on top of a toilet seat.

Head back to The Pit, where you’ll discover that Numba One has betrayed The Boss and taken over the place with some Rippers. Finish up with these annoyances and head to The Boss to return his mask. Unknowing of where the mask was kept, The Boss will simply put it on and ask you to be his new underboss. With that, the mission concludes.

That will complete the mission guide for Mob Mentality in Borderlands 4.
