Borderlands 4 has finally got a confirmed release date. Here are all the details you should know about it.
The Borderlands 4 State of Play, which was held on April 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM PT, revealed new and exciting information about the upcoming continuation of 2K’s highly acclaimed series. The game is set to release on September 12, 2025, and fans cannot wait to jump into action and play as Vault Hunters once again.
This time around, you get to play on an entirely new alien planet called Kairos. However, due to some events from the previous title of the series, the planet has fallen into chaos, and it is your opportunity to make a name for yourself by exploring alien vaults.

The official site of 2K shows us that Borderlands 4 is set to launch on various platforms, including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. Moreover, multiple things are promised to come at launch.
New Additions Coming to Borderlands 4 on Release
As we mentioned before, you are going to explore a completely new planet named Kairos. Additionally, there will be four new Vault Hunters that you can choose and play as. Throughout your journey, you are going to meet many new and old characters that cater to the long-time fans of the series.
Another great piece of news is that there is a more robust multiplayer system, which is promised to be added on release. You will be able to easily join your friends and continue the journey of Vault Hunting together with them.
