Sciel is a tricky character to use in battle. Here is how to build Sciel to maximise her potential in Clair Obscur Expedition 33.

A farmer turned teacher, Sciel has a very warm and outgoing personality. However, she’s no slouch compared to the rest of the party of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. She uses a wide variety of skills, which apply or consume Foretell on the enemy. These stacks come together to give her Sun or Moon charges, which affect her state in battle.
Her Twilight mechanic can significantly increase her damage and also increase the stacks of Foretell she applies. Here is a complete build guide for Sciel in Expedition 33.

Best Attributes For Sciel in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

The best attributes for Sciel have to be Agility, Luck and Defense, in that order. Some of Sciel’s best weapons scale off of Agility, making it an obvious pick. Meanwhile, either secondary scalings or other good alternative weapon choices scale off of the other two.
Luck would be great in general to increase her critical chances as well. High Agility will also let her move first and often, letting her build up stacks of Foretell.
Best Weapons For Sciel in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

During the early parts of the game, Scieleson will be great, owing to its high base power, combined with an S rank Agility scaling and an A rank Luck scaling. However, this weapon does not have any passives.
Later on, you can switch to Guleson, Blizzon or Charnon. Any of these can be extremely viable due to their useful passives. Blizzon stands out in particular owing to its 4,197 power, S rank Luck scaling and damage increasing passives.
Best Sciel Skills in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Sciel has a bunch of great skills you can use in combat. However, you should try and balance your skills that generate and consume Foretell alongside Sun and Moon charges.
- Marking Card: Medium single target Dark damage. 2 hits. Applies Mark to the target. Applies 3 Foretell. Generates one Sun Charge.
- Sealed Fate: High single-target damage. 5-7 hits. Uses Weapon’s element. Each hit can consume 1 Foretell to deal 200% more damage. Critical Hits don’t remove the Foretell but still get the damage increase. Generates one Moon Charge.
- Focused Foretell: Deals medium single target Physical damage. 1 hit. Applies 2 Foretell. Applies 3 additional Foretell if the target has 0 Foretell. Generate Sun Charge.
- Doom: Very high single target Dark damage. 3 hits. Applies Powerless, Defenceless, and Slow for 3 turns. Can Break. Generate Moon Charge.
- Grim Harvest: Deals medium single target Dark damage. 1 hit. Heals all allies by 30% Health. Consumes Foretell to increase Heal by 5% per Foretell. Generate Moon Charge.
- Plentiful Harvest: Deals medium single target Physical damage. 2 hits. Consumes all Foretell on a target and gives 1 AP to a party member for each Foretell consumed. Generate Moon Charge.
