The Halloween Update is here in Dead Rails, and we got Dracula’s Train and 2 new classes (Frankenstein and Ghost Class) and a new limited-time game mode, Edison’s Revenge. It’s a short 40 km map event, but you will face tougher enemies and denser action throughout the run. You will see four different biomes in your run: Ghost, Blood, Alien, and a final mixed zone, each with unique visuals and enemies like ghosts, UFOs, and aliens.

In this guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about this new game mode and how to complete it.

How The Edison’s Revenge Gamemode Works in Dead Rails

Unlike the regular mode, all points of interest are now placed much closer together. Fortified towns appear every 10 km, and players get a care package when they start, containing a Maxim Gun and 3 coals to help them kick off strong. In the first two biomes, you can see some Apocalypse Horses spawning; you can use them, but it’s not recommended. As you move forward, the environment becomes darker and more dangerous, especially once you enter the Alien Biome, where UFOs drop enemies directly onto your train.

When you reach Outlaw’s Town, you will notice it’s completely empty, which is unusual, but it’s good, as there would be no bandits to shoot at you. Once you activate the bridge crank, all enemies, Edison, Tesla, soldiers, and runner zombies, spawn at once, making this one of the toughest finales in the game. The final fight lasts for two minutes instead of four, but it is chaotic.

How To Win Edison’s Revenge

To complete the event without any hiccups, focus on fuel management, as you get 3 once you spawn in. The Wooden Train paired with the Conductor class is the best combo if you are going to play solo, as you can drive straight through without refueling. If you are playing with your friends in a party of four, you can skip buying Coals altogether, as the 12 you start with are enough to reach the end.

Once you spawn, you will get care packages; open them, and you will get a Maxim Gun. Use it to take out groups of enemies from a distance, especially when UFOs drop aliens nearby.

The best strategy would be to keep your train moving at all times and make sure you avoid stopping unnecessarily, or it will break the momentum. The event is short, so you can just spam it to band bonds.

Rewards And Why To Play

Once you complete Edison’s Revenge, you will get 10 Bonds as a reward, which makes it a quick way to farm money while testing your survival and aim. It’s also a fun challenge thanks to its compressed layout and unique Halloween-themed enemies. Because of the faster pace, both solo players and groups can spam it to earn Bonds efficiently before the event ends.
