Deltarune: How To Solve the Lancer Puzzle (Chapter 3)

The Lancer TV Puzzle can be quite a tricky puzzle you can encounter in Chapter 3 of Deltarune. Here is how to finish it and get your reward.

Deltarune has a plethora of puzzles for you to solve and get past. One of these puzzles involves the Lancer and a controller. This puzzle will need you to play a separate mini-game within Deltarune.

The puzzle needs you to get one of Lancer’s controllers to start it, after which you must dig up the right spots to finish it. Here is everything to know about the puzzle.

How To Start the Lancer TV Puzzle in Chapter 3 of Deltarune

This is a mini-game you can start during chapter 3. You must use the Fire door to teleport to the TV world entrance. Here, you will find a room with a big screen, where Lancer is playing games. You need to grab a spare controller from next to Lancer.

Exit right, follow the path down from this room, and you will eventually stumble onto this puzzle room.

How To Solve the Lancer Puzzle in Deltarune

You cannot start this puzzle without Lancer’s controller, so ensure you have it before arriving here. However, once you do start it, it’s quite easy to finish it. This puzzle needs you to dig up certain spots on the screen so that no crosses remain on the ground.

The following is one method you can use to solve the puzzle (we are numbering every spot in the image above from 1-12):

  • 4
  • 9
  • 11
  • 12
  • 5
  • 11
  • 9
  • 7
  • 5
  • 10
  • 4
  • 2

This will eliminate all the crosses and nearly complete the puzzle. You can place the blue box on one switch with Susie and stand on the other box. This will disable the spikes nearby.

You might want to toss the box on the other side of the river, as it will let you complete the steps needed to get the Egg from Chapter 3.

What Do You Get For Completing the Lancer Puzzle

This puzzle allows you to grab the nearby chest, which contains a Revive Mint. Furthermore, you need to complete this puzzle if you wish to get the Egg from this chapter.
