Mr. (Ant)Tenna, or simply Tenna, is the main antagonist of Chapter 3 of Deltarune. He appears throughout the chapter, making you participate in a series of games. Although Tenna isn’t really a bad guy, his fear of abandonment leads him to strike out against you.

As a result, he serves as the “final boss” of Chapter 3. Here is a guide on how you can defeat everyone’s favorite TV host, Tenna, in Deltarune.

Tenna engages you in battle near the end of Chapter 3. He tries to convince you to play more games with him. However, when you refuse, things quickly take a violent turn.

As with just about every other encounter in the game, you can settle things peacefully or violently. Should you choose to FIGHT him, keep in mind that he has a significant amount of HP. Generally speaking, it is easier to play along with Tenna’s games.

For this fight, Tenna proclaims that if you earn 1000 points over the course of the battle, you will be declared the winners. There are two ways to earn points in this battle. The first is to use your ACT to say “I Love TV,” which will make Tenna award you some points.

Alternatively, you can spend some TP to play minigames. This ACT will make Tenna change the setting to one of the many challenges you faced during the chapter. The better you perform during these games, the more points you will get. However, any mistakes made during the minigames will cause you to take damage.

Once you reach 1000 points, Tenna will declare the start of the “Grand Finale” and the “Final Episode.” He will then use his ultimate attack, where he bombards you with one minigame after another, swapping between them at random. These switches can be quite jarring and may cause you to make multiple mistakes.

Once you get past his minigame barrage, you will reach a final section where you shoot at Tenna while he attacks you with stars. Your bullets can weaken and destroy his stars, and will deal damage when they hit his head. Hit his head enough times, and the battle will end.

If you have enough practice with Tenna’s minigames, then you may Defend on the first turn to gain TP and then play minigames on every turn after. If you perform well enough, you will earn enough TP to keep playing minigames. This will prevent Tenna from attacking you.

Conversely, if you are not good at the games, then simply say “I Love TV” every turn until you gain 1000 points. The majority of Tenna’s attacks are not too difficult to dodge. However, when Tenna announces the grand finale, make sure to heal everyone before the final episode starts. This will give you some wiggle room during the minigames.

In the final shooting section, you have a small opportunity at the beginning when Tenna remains motionless. Use this to deal as much damage to his head as possible. If you have enough health, you can simply aim for the position where Tenna always returns after he attacks to finish him as fast as possible.
