Bungie has disclosed all of The Edge of Fate Trials of Osiris changes in Destiny 2. Find out how the game’s PvP mode is evolving.

The release of the next major episodic expansion for Destiny 2, dubbed The Edge of Fate, is right around the corner. Apart from a brand new location, new weapons and armor, and exciting questlines to complete, the upcoming update will also introduce several other changes. These will reflect on both the game’s PvE mode and the Trials of Osiris or PvP mode.
In the following article, we talk about some of the major The Edge of Fate Trials of Osiris changes coming into the game and how that might impact your experience.
What Are The Edge of Fate Trials of Osiris Changes?

According to the developers, with the release of The Edge of Fate expansion on July 15, your Power Level will no longer impact the combat in the game’s PvP mode. Previously, Guardians with higher-tier weapons and gear had a considerable edge over their competition in Trials of Osiris. So, if you managed to raise your power levels high enough, there was a good chance that you’d dominate in all of the PvP matches.
However, starting July 15, that won’t be possible any longer, placing all Guardians on a more or less equal footing. But you will still have to be at least Power Level 200 to enter the Trials of Osiris mode. This aspect of the multiplayer mode has remained unchanged. So, if you’re a new Destiny 2 player, you won’t be able to access the PvP mode immediately.

The Edge of Fate Trials of Osiris Changes to Accessibility
From July 15, you will only be able to access the PvP mode in Destiny 2 if you own The Edge of Fate expansion. Without the latest expansion installed, you won’t be able to enter or play Trials of Osiris mode any longer. However, you’ll still be able to access all of the PvE content set prior to the events of The Edge of Fate.
You can get the expansion for $39.99 on Steam. If you want access to all of the content for the expansion plus something extra, you can also go for the Pre-Purchase Destiny 2: Year of Prophecy bundle, which is available for $79.99. This edition will give you access to The Edge of Fate plus the Renegades content and dungeons too.
