Diablo 4 is known for its notorious difficulty and challenging nature, which can make the game a chore for some players. But recently, you might have noticed a powerful buff on your character for some reason. This newfound buff, which resembles a white tree, is known as Gift of the Tree.
The Gift of the Tree is a temporary buff granted to everyone who is actively playing Diablo 4 during this period. This “gift” will grant additional caches as you collect bounties for the Tree of Whispers. This article will reveal everything that there is to The Gift of the Tree in Diablo 4.
Gift of the Tree in Diablo 4 Explained
The Gift of the Tree is a limited-time event in Diablo 4 that will run until July 22, 2025, 1 PM EST. Every time you choose a cache after turning in a group of Grim Favors (bounties) during Season 9, you will earn a bonus Chaos Cache. The event is compatible with every type of cache available in the game during Season 9.
Chaos Caches, unlike other caches, are capable of giving out any kind of item. These random items range from common loot to Ancestral status items. There’s also an achievement named Chaotic Whispers that will be unlocked after opening 10 Chaos Caches from the Tree of Whispers.
Tree of Whispers in Diablo 4 Explained
The Tree of Whispers is accessible in Diablo 4 once the campaign is complete. It is also accessible by toggling “skip campaign” during character creation. Interact with the Tree of Whispers to get bonus caches on top of the caches that you choose. To choose caches, you’ll need to collect Grim Favors to redeem at the Tree of Whispers.
Grim Favors are basically bounties (Whispers) for the Tree of Whispers. They appear on the map as pink, pale pink, and dark red borders around the mission icons. The darker the color, the more Grim Favors are earned by completing the bounty. To be accurate, pale pink equals one Grim Favor, Pink equals three, and red bordered icons equal five. Once you have 10 Grim Favors, you can bring them to the Tree of Whispers or to a Raven of the Tree. This will present you with an option to choose between three different loot caches.
