Diablo 4 Season 9 Sins of the Horadrim has recently launched, bringing a wealth of content. Besides the new features like the Horadric Spellcraft system, Season 9 also introduces new pets to the game. It expands the growing Diablo 4 pets collection by adding Dante, alongside other pets like Scapegoat and Azul. Unlike the Scapegoat and Azul pets, Dante can be unlocked for free, though it requires some effort. If you are unsure how to acquire Dante the dog pet in Diablo 4 Season 9, here’s how to do it.
How To Obtain Dante the Dog Pet in Diablo 4 Season 9
Just like in previous Diablo 4 seasons, the Season 9 Season Journey offers various exciting rewards across multiple chapters. Dante, the dog pet, is one of the Season Journey rewards for Season 9. You can obtain the canine pet by completing Chapter 6 of the Season Journey. However, you don’t need to complete every objective to finish a chapter.
Completing 5 out of the 6 objectives in Chapter 6 unlocks the rewards, as well as the final chapter. Once you complete Chapter 6 (Champion), head to the Season Journey section and manually claim Dante the dog pet alongside other valuable rewards. Failing to claim the Season Journey rewards before the season ends will result in losing them permanently.
How To Equip Dante the Dog Pet in Diablo 4
After unlocking Dante, you can equip the loyal canine pet via your Wardrobe. Head to the Pet section to view all your available pets. Select Dante, hit confirm, and the canine companion will accompany your journey. Although Dante adds aesthetic charm, pets in Diablo 4 are more than just cosmetics. Once equipped, Dante assists you in item pickup. He automatically collects gold, crafting materials, and other dropped items, allowing you to focus on combat without the hassle of manual looting.
