Diablo 4 Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim introduces a wealth of content, with the Horadric Spellcraft system standing out as a key feature. This system allows players to create customized Horadric Spells by combining three core elements: Catalysts, Infusions, and Arcana. Each of these components provides distinct effects to the Horadric Spell. Catalysts and Infusions shape the base power and elemental damage of your spell.
On the other hand, Arcana adds additional effects and provides various buffs to your Catalyst. Sapping Crux is a Rare Arcana that applies the Vulnerable status effect to your Catalyst, making it an ideal choice for dealing extra damage. Here is how you can obtain Sapping Crux in Diablo 4 Season 9.
How To Obtain Sapping Crux in Diablo 4
Obtaining Catalysts and Infusions is tied to the seasonal questline, requiring you to complete certain Seasonal quests. However, you cannot acquire Arcana in such a way. Instead, you should clear the Horadric Strongrooms, found within Nightmare Dungeons, and open the reward chests to acquire Arcana. Sapping Crux can be obtained from Horadric Strongroom rewards after you acquire a Rare Arcana from the Horadric Knowledge reputation system. Horadric Knowledge can be acquired through Helltides and Horadric Strongrooms.
How To Use Sapping Crux in Diablo 4
You can equip up to three Arcana to your Horadric Spell, unlike Catalysts and Infusions. Once you acquire the Sapping Crux, assign it to one of the Arcana slots to apply the Vulnerable effect to your Catalyst for 3 seconds. It also adds +1 second for each Rank. Enemies with the Vulnerable status effect take 20% increased damage. You can upgrade the Sapping Crux Arcana up to Rank 5 via the Horadric Spellcraft Menu. Select the Upgrade Power option and use Horadric Phials to upgrade it to the next rank.
