Popular Colombian Kick streamer Luis “WestCOL” hosted a livestream titled “Actor for a Day,” where a staged shootout took place. A clip of the staged shootout went viral, showing WestCOL being shot in his arm. The clip also showed medical professionals bandaging his arm, which several users on X thought was real.

He also posted a picture of his bandaged arm on X and said that he was shot while someone tried to rob him. The streamer later responded to the situation and tweeted about how easy it was to spread misinformation on the internet.

WestCOL is one of the biggest streamers on Kick, with over 1.8M followers on the platform. The Colombian streamer holds the record for gaining the most concurrent live viewers on the platform. He gained over a million live viewers for the “Stream Fighters 3” event. He became the most-followed streamer on the platform, surpassing Adin Ross. The shoot was for a game that will be free to play and will feature free skins, according to the streamer. The streamer tweeted that misinformation spreading so easily is a danger.
