Twitch star Fanum is one of the most recognizable figures of AMP, and he currently lives with the collective in Atlanta.
Roberto “Fanum” is a well-known internet personality, best known for his Twitch livestreams and YouTube content. Hailing from The Bronx, New York, the content creator is currently ranked as the 73rd most popular English-speaking personality on the Amazon-owned platform.
He is also a prominent figure of the streamer collective AMP (Any Means Possible). As of this writing, Fanum stays with fellow AMP members in Atlanta, Georgia. On October 11, 2024, the 27-year-old went viral on social media after reintroducing his iconic “Fanum Tax” as Kai Cenat was about to eat his recently launched McDonald’s Big Mac on livestream.
However, when the streamers relocated to New York City earlier this year, Roberto decided to part ways and leave the house for personal reasons.
Why Did Fanum Leave AMP New York House in 2024?
In August 2024, AMP members shifted to The Big Apple for a series of special livestreams. They also rented a multi-story mansion spanning 10,000 square feet.
However, during a livestream on August 21, 2024, fans discovered that Fanum was not broadcasting from the New York City mansion. In response, the content creator revealed that he moved out of the AMP house because it had “too many stairs.”
Claiming that he had to walk up to his room on the fifth floor, the Dominican-American personality said:
“I’m going to just take a hit. The AMP s**t has got too many stairs, bro. It has got way too many stairs. I swear to god, I’m not bullsh**ting. It has got way too many stairs. It’s like, I’m on the fifth floor or some s**t, right? Yeah, I’m on the fifth floor. And them stairs, bro, be feeling like…fam, once I go up, I don’t want to go back down till my stream is over. You can’t be going up the stairs like that, chat. I’m just going to be real with you, chat.”
Fanum’s Controversy With The NYPD
In July 2024, Fanum made headlines when a New York City Police Department officer pointed a gun at him during a livestream from the Dominican Day Parade. Eventually, social media reports surfaced claiming that the Twitch streamer’s driver had been arrested, as well as his purple Lamborghini Urus being seized.
On July 29, 2024, Kai Cenat commented on the controversy, voicing his discontent with an NYPD cop posing in front of Fanum’s Lamborghini Urus. The two-time Streamer of the Year award winner wrote the following on X:
“NYPDK, f**k ’em.”
The next day (July 30, 2024), Fanum announced via livestream that he was suing the NYPD for seizing his vehicle, claiming that his attorneys planned to contact the police department.
