Discover how to unlock your Vocation’s ultimate ability in Dragon’s Dogma 2 with our How to Find Thief Vocation Maister guide!
How to Find Thief Vocation Maister
In Dragon’s Dogma 2, all of the different vocations/classes have their maister from whom you can learn an ultimate ability. Completing some of the quests required to unlock some of these abilities can be time-consuming, but they are worth it because of the extra power they can provide for your vocation.
Furthermore, you do not have to have any specific Vocation Rank before unlocking ultimate abilities. The only requirement is that you unlock the Vocation itself. Therefore, as the Thief is a Starting Vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, as long as you have daggers to equip your Arisen, you have easy access to this class.
Finally, the Thief Vocation is fortunate in that it can unlock two different ultimate abilities. Most other vocations can only unlock one. While one of these ultimate Thief abilities might not seem helpful at first, when combined with the second, they can pack a powerful punch! The following guide will walk you through how to find the Thief Vocations Maister and the quests you will have to complete to unlock the abilities.

Flaude can easily be found in the Old Noble Manor, in front of a fireplace. He is happy to speak with you and quickly recognizes your worthiness. - Required Quest: ‘The Nameless Village.’ You will receive this quest from Brant as he directs you to learn more about the false Sovran.

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the true Thief Vocation Masister, Srail, is hidden below the Old Noble manor. Outside the manor, just a bit to the northwest, you will find a hole in the ground. Climb the ladder leading down. After a shortcut scene, you’ll have to jump across platforms to make it down the first long tunnel. Next, there will be another tunnel with platforms and swinging bags of rocks you must dodge.
Finally, you can head through the door before you, and Srail will greet you inside. This is part of the main story quest, where you can ask him about the false Sovran. Srail will give you a Bill of Arrest as part of that quest, which you can take back to Brant. More importantly, he will also give you the Pilferer’s Handbook, which is the scroll that unlocks Formless Feint.
