Where to Find Leather in Enshrouded
Padding is a complex resource that is easier to produce than to find in large quantities worldwide. It requires a few stations and a craftsperson unlocked to expedite the process so don’t worry about this resource early.
Firstly, to craft Leather you will need to unlock the Hunter Craftsperson. She will unlock all of the stations needed to produce your Leather. Once you place both the Drying Rack and Tanning Station, you can produce Leather. Animal Fur is the main resource you need in Leather production, so you should accumulate stockpiles as soon as you start venturing out. Also, you need Salt to produce both the Dried Fur and to produce Leather. Lastly, you will need Ammonia Gland which is found in the Umber Hollow Shroud region.

What is Leather, and What Is It Used for?
Leather is “a versatile and durable material, that is smooth to the touch.”. It can be a little complex to produce at first balancing the different machines and resources needed. However, since the production is largely based on machines doing the work for you, the time consumption of producing it is based largely on the time it takes to get the materials.
All of the current mid-game and late-game craftable sets require the use of Leather in their crafting recipes. Some of the recipes call directly for Leather and others call for Padding which requires Leather. These craftable sets are great to use in conjunction with the available world sets to make powerful builds. Right now, Leather use is strictly for crafting armor and furnishings however, as new updates release there may be more items needing Leather.
