Walking into Dress to Impress with style just got easier thanks to the Petal Update. Walk animations are now a big part of setting the mood for your outfit, whether you are aiming for elegance, attitude, or something playful.
Instead of relying only on your clothes, you can now fine-tune your strut to match the vibe you are creating. Picking the right walk is simple once you know where to look and what to do, but it is easy to miss if you are not paying attention.
Walk in Dress to Impress
Before you can show off a custom walk, you need to buy one with in-game cash. Walk animations are not part of the base game for free and require a little investment. The cheapest option available is the Elegant Walk, costing $4,500, while the most expensive is the Attitude Walk at $9,000. If you are new to Dress to Impress, you may need to save up a bit before buying your first walk.
To buy and equip a walk, follow these steps:
- Open the in-game Shop.
- Click on the Packs section.
- Tap the button at the top right labeled Walks. This switches the view from Poses to Walks.
- Browse the available options. Use the View button under each walk to preview how it looks.
- Once you find one you like, click Purchase. After buying, the Purchase button will turn into Equip.
- Click Equip to immediately apply the walk animation to your character.
If you change your mind after equipping a walk, you can click the button again to return to the default walk or switch to another animation you own. This flexibility makes it simple to adjust your vibe depending on the theme or mood you are aiming for.
Always keep an eye on the timer if you are playing on a regular server. Browsing walks without managing your outfit could cost valuable styling time during competitions. If you are in Freeplay Mode, you will not have to worry about the timer.
How the Walk Animation Works
Once equipped, the walk animation changes how your character moves in the lobby and on the runway during voting rounds. This small detail can create a strong impression, whether you are going for something playful, confident, or elegant.
However, it is important to note that if you use the Run Faster Gamepass, your walk animation might look slightly different in the lobby than on the runway. Speed boosts can distort the animation, so it is smart to test how it behaves if consistency is important for your look.
Ultimately, walks are a simple but powerful way to elevate your outfit beyond just clothing choices, helping you express your character’s style more fully every time you step onto the stage.
