You can increase your guards in Dynasty Warriors Origins in several ways:
Progressing Through the Main Story Campaign
If you have ever been short on guards, focus on completing the main story campaign. You’ll receive additional guards as rewards for completing specific story missions. For instance, during the Battle of Sishui Gate mission in Chapter 2, you will be rewarded with your first set of guards.
Additionally, finishing the main campaign allows you to revisit any part to ensure you haven’t missed any side content. This may also include missions that allow you to recruit guards.
Completing Side Missions
Another efficient way to recruit extra guards to your team is by completing side missions. These side missions can be found by exploring the open world for random soldiers. Interacting with them initiates small quests or battles.
For instance, a side mission in the Siege of Yang Province in Chapter 3 rewards you with two extra guards. Partaking in Training missions and Rescue missions rewards you with additional guards, along with the opportunity to level up your weapon proficiency.
