Koei Tecmo Games has finally unveiled the official PC system requirements for the highly anticipated Dynasty Warriors: Origins. Although the game is due for release on January 17, 2025, Koei Tecmo Games has already detailed the PC specifications needed to run the game at different resolutions and framerate targets.

While the game uses the same proprietary engine as Koei Tecmo’s previous titles, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Rise of the Ronin, it does feature some notable changes, which are reflected in the game’s system requirements. Similar to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Dynasty Warriors: Origins is quite demanding in terms of CPU, but only if you plan to play the game at 60fps or above.

Koei Tecmo Games has detailed the system specifications required to run the game on both 1080p 30fps and 1080p 60fps. Furthermore, alongside the system requirements, Koei Tecmo has also revealed the game’s file size on PC. That said, here’s a look at the official PC system requirements for Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

What Are Dynasty Warrior: Origins’ PC System Requirements

The minimum requirements for Dynasty Warriors: Origins are quite similar to those of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. However, the recommended requirements are where there’s quite a bit of distinction. The minimum specifications essentially target 1080p at 30fps, with the settings turned to “Low.” However, for the recommended specifications, Koei Tecmo promises 1080p at 60fps with the “High” graphics preset.

Furthermore, the recommended specifications boast significantly higher CPU requirements, potentially to accommodate the higher framerate. That being said, here are the minimum and recommended PC system requirements for Dynasty Warriors: Origins:

What Is the File Size of Dynasty Warriors: Origins on PC

According to the game’s official PC specifications, Dynasty Warriors: Origins requires 50 GB of storage. This isn’t surprising considering the game is not an open-world like Rise of the Ronin, which is 90 GB on the PS5. Instead, in terms of structure, the upcoming Dynasty Warriors title is more akin to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which also requires 50 GB of storage with all its DLCs installed.

Furthermore, Koei Tecmo highly recommends installing the game on an SSD to alleviate any performance issues that might arise from the game being installed on an HDD.
