In this guide, we shall go over the best team composition for the Gaping Jaw expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Elden Ring Nightreign is an action roguelike that takes the Elden Ring experience and condenses it into 40–60 minute runs. Depending on the run or expedition you pick, you can face a variety of bosses.
The Gaping Jaw expedition is the second expedition in the game and sees you battling Adel, the Baron of Night, as the final boss. Along the way, you also face several different Night bosses, all of which pull you out of your comfort zone and force you to adapt. This boss and expedition are a step up in difficulty, especially compared to the Tricephalos expedition.
To complete this expedition successfully, you need the right team composition, and we’re here to help with that. In this guide, we shall go over the best team composition for the Gaping Jaw expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Best Team Composition for the Gaping Jaw Expedition in Elden Ring Nightreign

To beat the Gaping Jaw expedition, we recommend assembling a roster of Ironeye, Guardian, and Duchess. While the game allows everyone to pick the same character, doing so greatly restricts strategy and synergy. In our experience, our suggested roster has had immense success across several Gaping Jaw expeditions. We recommend building this team with poison-based gear to cap off the run.
Guardian is the tank of your team in this expedition. His job is to lead the charge, tank enemy damage, and use his halberd to safely dish out attacks. His impressive stats allow him to stay alive longer, making him perfect as your frontline during a boss rush.

Ironeye is the second character we recommend bringing in. Ironeye’s skill allows him to mark enemies, after which they take increased weak spot damage. You can then immediately use his ult to dish out massive damage to any boss. His ult also doubles as a means of clutch healing should the two other teammates fall in battle.
Lastly, we recommend bringing in Duchess. Duchess is fast and highly agile, perfectly synergizing with Guardian. As Guardian takes the brunt of the assault, Duchess can dish out damage from behind. Her ability to make the whole team invisible is incredibly clutch when the final boss starts charging up to eat the team.
