Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware have finally revealed the schedule for Elden Ring Nightreign’s Closed Network Test. Revealed during last The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a “co-op-focused” standalone title set within the Elden Ring universe.

While the game is developed by FromSoftware, it’s unlike anything the Japanese developer has produced till now. Instead of being focused on delivering a robust single-player “souls-like” experience, which was the core premise of Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Nightreign is a co-op game with roguelike elements. While the game was announced with a “gameplay” trailer, details about its core gameplay loop are still very limited.

However, that won’t be the case for long. Players eager to know more about FromSoftware’s new title can register for the Closed Network Test, starting today. The CNT will give you access to a sizeable chunk of the game, in co-op, with three other players. It’s a great way to not only know more about the game but also get a first-hand experience with it. Here’s everything you need to know about Elden Ring Nightreign’s Closed Network Test.

How To Register for Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test

To register for Elden Ring Nightreign’s CNT, head to the game’s official website. There, you will find details on the Closed Network Test’s content, schedule, and more. The Closed Network Test is scheduled for February 14, 2025, and will be available till February 17, 2025. The CNT will feature the opening section of the game and will be playable in co-op.

Much like Elden Ring’s Closed Network Test back in 2021, Nightreign’s CNT will have limited content. The CNT is meant for FromSoftware to test the servers while also letting the players try the game for themselves ahead of its official release date.

That said, here’s how you can register for Elden Ring Nightreign’s CNT:

  • Head to Elden Ring Nightreign’s official website.
  • Scroll down and click on Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test registration! under Information.
  • Scroll down and click on Apply Now! under the game’s trailer.
  • Click on the red-colored Apply for the Closed Network Test banner.
  • Follow the prompts, add your email address, and platform, and submit.

Once you successfully apply for the CNT, you will receive an email confirming your participation. From there, you need to wait till February 14, 2025, for an email from Bandai Namco if you’re selected for the CNT. The selection for Closed Network Tests is random. If you are selected, you will receive a code for the beta version of the game, which you can redeem on your platform of choice to start downloading and playing the CNT.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Closed Network Test is only available for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It should be noted that all the major platforms, i.e., PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC will have the game. However, the CNT is only limited to current-gen consoles. This falls perfectly in line with FromSoftware’s previous CNTs for Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3, which were also console exclusives.
