Elden Ring Nightreign features various character presets, with each excelling in certain types of weapons and skills. While characters like Recluse and Revenant excel in magic, it doesn’t limit other characters from using it. With the right equipment, any character can perform magic attacks.

Incantations and Sorceries are two types of magic attacks in Elden Ring Nightreign, where the former typically focuses on applying buffs and healing, and the latter inflicts damage with offensive spells. To use Incantations and Sorceries, the character must equip the right catalyst to cast the spell. Let’s explore how to use Incantations and Sorceries in Elden Ring Nightreign.

To cast Incantations, you will need to equip a Sacred Seal. These Seals come with two preset spells. Since there are no stat requirements, any character can equip a Sacred Seal and cast spells using light and heavy attacks. You can obtain the Sacred Seal just like any other weapon, through enemy drops or chests. You can also purchase them from merchants. Additionally, Sacred Seals are often found near the statues inside the ruined houses.

However, keep in mind that casting magic spells consumes significant FP, with more powerful Incantations costing more. Characters like Recluse, Revenant, and Duchess can effectively use both Incantations and Sorceries.

Using Sorceries is almost the same as Incantations, except for the catalyst. In the case of Sorceries, you need to equip a Glintstone Staff instead of a Sacred Seal. Staffs come with two preloaded spells and are found by defeating bosses or opening chests. Characters like Recluse, Revenant, and Duchess not only excel in magic spells but also increase the drop rate for the catalysts. You can also find Staffs in staff holders, which makes them a reliable option.

You can track down the locations of the catalyst’s weapon rack by following the corresponding Staff or Seal icons on your map. Casting Sorceries also requires FP, similar to Incantations. To take things to the next level, you can unleash 4 different spells simultaneously by equipping two Staffs or Seals in each hand, causing pure chaos.
