Here’s how you can get the Door Codes for Floor 2, Level 5 of Escape the Backrooms, and unlock Door 235 to proceed to the next level.
Floor 2, level 5 of Escape the Backrooms opens up with you meeting two entities, the Hound and the Skinstealer. They spawn on the left and right, respectively. After this encounter, the room’s main puzzle involves opening the lock in room 235. To find the codes for the lock, you’ll need to find papers around the rooms that will spell out the solution in the end. Here’s a brief guide on how to get the Door Code.
Door Code Guide of Floor 2 Level 5 in Escape the Backrooms
Floor 2 of Level 5 is located in the same place as the previous level. However, there are various rooms that you’ll need to investigate. After reaching the room, you’ll have to avoid encounters with the Hound and Skinstealer.
When you first enter, you’ll see a large safe box with 7 spaces open. The open boxes have room numbers written on them. You’ll have to go inside the mentioned rooms, find the letters inside, and collect them. Between collecting them, avoid the Hound and Skinstealer. However, once you spot the Hound and see it, it will no longer spawn, and only the Skinstealer will roam the halls. The room numbers are random, but the solution remains the same.
After collecting the letters, go back to the safe box and put the letters in. After you put it in the box, it will spell out two words, “Look Up.”
Beside Room 201, you have to look up to the ceiling, then the code will reveal itself. Currently, the possible codes that could show up are:
- 89472
- 05938
- 17564
Out of these three codes, one of them will reveal itself on the ceiling. You have to proceed to Room 235, where you will find a padlock to enter the code. However, be careful, as the Skinstealer will become more aggressive after you find the code. Putting in the code will unlock the door and take you to the next level.
How to Avoid the Hound and Skinstealer
To blind the Hound, use your flash and blink at the Hound three times. It will temporarily blind the Hound, and it will stop chasing you for a short while.
If you hear the Skinstealer, immediately find a room and close the door behind you. There is no way to temporarily make it retreat like the Hound, but the Skinstealer only chases for a short while until you hide. If it sees you, try getting out of its line of sight using corners and closed rooms.
