Take full advantage of the festivities by following our ESO Gates of Oblivion Event Guide 2023.
The Gates of Oblivion Celebration in-game event begins Thursday, November 16 at 10am EST, and runs until Tuesday, November 28 at 10am EST.
How To Join Gates of Oblivion Event
If you’ve never participated in the Gates of Oblivion Celebration Event before, here is how you join in the fun:
- In order to join the Event you must own or have access to either the Blackwood chapter, Flames of Ambition, Waking Flame, or Deadlands DLCs.
- These can be purchased separately in the crown store (with the event running, they will likely be on sale).
- If you have a current subscription to ESO+, then you will already have access to Blackwood and all of the previously mentioned DLCs.
- Open up the Crown Store and ‘purchase’ (there is no actual cost, it’s free!) the quest ‘Burdensome Beasts’.
- This starting quest is entirely optional. If you just want to jump in, all you have to do is complete a daily quest in Blackwood or the Deadlands. You will automatically start to earn event rewards.
- The first step in Burdensome Beasts will require you to speak to Plokun in Blackwood.
- After speaking with him and agreeing to help, collect his whistle and compass from his packs nearby.
- Using the compass will reveal the locations of the missing Daedra, which are scattered all across Blackwood. When you find one, use the whistle. This will open a portal to send the daedra back to Plokun.
- Barzuso the Daedrat is at Old Deathwart’s Pond
- G’uub the Voriplasm is at the end of the first right turn in Arpenia
- Roki the Guar is west of the entrance of Doomvault Porcixid
- Taro the Stone Atronach is west of the bridge leading to Deepscorn Hollow
- Thalani the Skein Scorpion is west of the entrance to Rockgrove
- Return to Plokun, help him with a teleportation spell, and then speak to him again to complete the quest.
Gates of Oblivion Event
The Gates of Oblivion Celebration is one of the major ESO events in which you can earn tickets to spend at the Impresario! Each day, you can earn two tickets for the FIRST of the following activities completed each day:
- First Daily Quest completed in the Blackwood zone
- First Daily Quest completed in the Deadlands zone
- Weekly trial quest completed in Rockgrove
- Slaying and looting the final boss in either Flames of Ambition or Waking Flame dungeons
As always, the items which the Impresario stocks changes from year to year. There are often collectables which can be earned and ‘assembled’ into a desired special mount, furnishing, skin or other game item. Remember that there is a 12-ticket limit in your inventory, so be sure to spend tickets once you reach the max amount! Otherwise, you may lose out on your tickets for the day.
This Gates of Oblivion Event will be your second opportunity to begin gathering the fragments for the final event morphing collectible of 2023, the Hoardhunter Ursauk mount!
