Jump into the hilarity and mayhem by following our ESO Jester’s Festival Guide!
The annual ESO Jester’s Festival is here, bringing playful pranks and mudball fights to the denizens of Tamriel! For those mischeveious enough to join in, XP bonuses and all sorts of reward goodies await!
Jester’s Festival Quest
If you’ve never participated in the Jester’s Festival before, here is how you join in the fun:
- Open up the Crown Store and ‘purchase’ (there is no actual cost, it’s free!) the Jester’s Festival Invitation Quest
- Or, travel to one of the three jester pavilions found within the major cities of Ebonheart, Vulkhel Guard, and Daggerfall, and speak to one of three jesters who bear a striking resemblance to Jorunn the Skald-King, Queen Ayrenn, or High King Emeric
- At the pavilion, speak with the corresponding Jester.
- Speaking with the jester is the only thing you need to do in order to complete this very simple introductory quest
- Completing the quest will grant you the Pie of Misrule memento. Use this item by going to the Collections tab and click on Tools.
- Eating the pie will automatically grant your character a two hour long +100% bonus to earned XP.
If you have already completed the introductory Jester quest in a previous festival, then the Pie of Misrule will already be available to you in the Collections tab under Tools! Simply double click to take a long drink and you’re ready to go.
Jester’s Festival Special Daily Quests
Once you have received and eaten some of your Pie of Misrule, you can speak to the Jesters at each of the three pavilions in order to receive one of three specific Jester’s Festival quests. Our ESO Jester’s Festival Guide will list all of the available quests below.
- Pro Tip: You only have to complete ONE of these quests a day on a single character in order to receive your Event Tickets!

Jester’s Festival Impresario Rewards
Event Tickets
The Jester’s Festival is typically one of the main ESO events in which you can earn tickets to spend at the Impresario! Each day, you can earn three tickets for the first Jester’s Festival quest you complete. As always, the items which the Impresario stocks changes from year to year. There are often collectables which can be earned and ‘assembled’ into a desired special mount, furnishing, skin or other game item.
Remember that there is a 12-ticket limit in your inventory, so be sure to spend tickets once you reach the max amount! Otherwise, you may lose out on your tickets for the day.
For the 2024 Jester’s Festival, this is what the Impresario has in stock:
- All three Molag Bal Illusion Imp pet fragments
- Anchor Chain Fragment
- Dark Anchor Pinion
- Effigy of the Dominator
- All three fragments for the Planemeld’s Master body and face markings
- Crematory Ash
- Incandescent Brimstone
- Seething Censer
- Bound fragments for the Jester’s Minstrel Daedroth costume
The third and final fragment of the Planemeld’s Master body and face markings, the Seething Censer, also is available during the Jester’s Festival.
