YouTuber Ethan Klein denied all workplace mistreatment allegations against him and his wife by a former employee who worked at his home.
Ethan Klein and Hila Klein from H3 Podcast are facing allegations of breaking employment laws. A former employee who worked as a housekeeper at the Klein household claimed that she was let go without proper reasoning and received unfair pay during her tenure. Ethan Klein denied all allegations and said—the former employee “fabricated” stories about him.
Klein addressed the allegations on the official H3H3 Productions Instagram account on February 9, 2025. He stated that the housekeeper was fired for being “horrifically rude.” He claimed that the former employee made rude comments about the Klein family’s nanny, which convinced the Klein family to terminate her contract.
The former employee alleged that she needed time off for a hernia surgery, but the Klein family’s human resources (HR) manager allegedly denied her leave. Other allegations include unpaid overtime, unfair pay, and termination without proper cause.
Ethan Klein’s Responds to His Recent Allegations
After details about the lawsuit surfaced online, Ethan Klein took to Instagram to address the issue:
“Our former housekeeper was fired for being horrifically rude to our boys’ nanny… constantly calling her fat and asking when she gained all the weight. I gave her so many warnings hoping she would just stop, but she didn’t. She was part of our family and we treated her like it. I tried everything to salvage the relationship, but her conduct was inexcusable.”
Klein stated that his HR team has records of her misconduct. He also said that the situation feels “extremely violating”. The YouTuber claims that the housekeeper fabricated the story about her hernia surgery. He added:
“I care deeply for all of our employees and do everything in my power to do right by them. She tried to shake us down for a huge amount of money, which I immediately declined, knowing our innocence and refusing to ever concede to people like her.”
What Are the Allegations Against the Youtuber?
The lawsuit against Ethan Klein and Hilda Klein alleges that the YouTubers underpaid the former employee. Page 19 of the lawsuit states that the housekeeper worked more than her scheduled hours with no pay. The Klein household had employed the plaintiff from 2020 to 2024. According to the lawsuit, she allegedly performed her job well and the Klein family regarded her highly.

On the other hand, the Klein family’s HR manager said that they were “going in a different direction” and didn’t offer a direct response to why the housekeeper was fired. She is seeking punitive damages from the Klein family. With Ethan Klein denying all allegations, the plaintiff and defendants will have to settle the matter in court.
