Wrestling fans, get ready—WWE 2K25 is officially in development. Take-Two confirmed this in their August 2024 report, telling us to expect the game by March 2025. After WWE 2K24 built on what made the previous games great, there’s plenty to look forward to in this next release.

The WWE games have come a long way since WWE 2K22 turned things around for the series. Each new game has added something special, and Everything to expect from WWE 2K25 suggests we’ll see more improvements. While we don’t have all the details yet, let’s look at what we know and what might be coming.

When’s It Coming Out?

Going by the last few games, WWE 2K25 should drop in March 2025. Looking back at WWE 2K22, 2K23, and 2K24, we’ll probably see it launch around March 11 or 14. That’s right when WrestleMania excitement starts building up.

We’ll start seeing trailers and announcements during the Road to WrestleMania, which is always a fun time for fans. That’s when we’ll learn about new features and see which superstars got the highest ratings.

Who’s Going To Be on the Cover?

The cover star is usually one of the first big reveals we get. There are some great options this time around. We might see Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, especially with how big they’ve been lately. CM Punk would be another exciting choice after his huge WWE return. Drew McIntyre’s really stepped up his game too, and champions like Nia Jax or Liv Morgan could make history on the cover.

Each recent game has brought something new to the table—like WWE 2K24’s new match types and WWE 2K23’s WarGames. WWE 2K25 will definitely have its own big feature to get fans excited.

What’s New in the Game?

All your favorite modes will be back—Showcase, MyRise, MyFaction, Universe Mode, and MyGM. MyRise will probably keep its two-story setup, with different stories for male and female wrestlers. They might take some ideas from recent WWE storylines, like how CM Punk came back or Drew McIntyre’s current run.

The Showcase mode might try something different this time. Instead of following just one superstar, they could focus on big moments from shows like Survivor Series or Royal Rumble, similar to what they did with WrestleMania in 2K24.

WWE 2K25 will keep what works but make it better. We might get more options for creating entrances and customizing characters. The game could also include WWE’s new camera angles and those cool LED barriers we see on TV now.

What Fans Want To See

The wrestling game community has been vocal about what they’d like in WWE 2K25. One big request is bringing back the story creator mode that lets players make their own wrestling storylines. Fans loved this feature in older games because they could create and share their own WWE stories.

Fans are really hoping to see create-your-own-finishers come back, and they want community creations to work better. Since it’s a yearly release, don’t expect the game to be completely different—but it should definitely feel more polished than before.

Better stability is another common wish—players want fewer crashes, especially in community creations. Some fans are even saying they’d be happy to wait longer between releases if it meant getting a more polished game. The community also wants more freedom in character creation, including more entrance options and the ability to have larger groups enter together.
