The Anor Londo archers better watch out because Bandai Namco has just unveiled the newest class making its way to Elden Ring: Nightreign. This new class is the Ironeye. The Ironeye focuses on archery, featuring quick and powerful attacks over a long distance.

The character trailer for the Ironeye gives us a lot to work with, so let’s go over everything we know about this class so far.

What Do We Know About the Ironeye Class in Elden Ring: Nightreign

As stated above, the Ironeye class is based around archery. Historically, bows have not been very reliable options in the Soulsborne games (with the notable exception of Dark Souls 2). However, FromSoftware appears to be changing its longstanding tradition with the Ironeye.

In the trailer, we see this class show off several tricks. Firstly, this character can fire multiple arrows at once. Ironeye also boasts excellent mobility, showcasing the ability to run up walls and shoot while midair. Moreover, you will also have access to heavier shots for larger enemies.

In addition, the Ironeye has powerful charged shots that penetrate through hordes of enemies. Players can finally follow in the footsteps of legends like Hawkeye Gough himself. All of this, coupled with the improved aiming system now implemented in Nightreign, makes the Ironeye a dynamic and exciting class to play.

How is the Ironeye Different From Other Classes

The Ironeye has a very different playstyle from the other classes in the game. Of the other classes in the game, the Wylder, the Guardian, and the Duchess are all melee-focused characters.

The Recluse comes the closest to the Ironeye’s long-range playstyle, but there are many, many differences between the Recluse’s magic and the Ironeye’s archery. For starters, the Recluse’s magic relies on FP, which is a limited resource. Secondly, the Recluse’s range is simply not as long as the Ironeye’s.

The Ironeye is one of the most unique classes so far, and it will be exciting to see what else Nightreign still has to offer us.
