The Hellfire Power Armor isn’t as powerful as other suits, but it still can provide great defense and protection. It was initially available through Creation Club content, but it is now available to all players in the base game as of the new update patch released on April 22, 2024.

The Hellfire Power Armor Location and where to find in FO4:

  • Location: Atlantic Offices (far southwest corner of the map), near Listening Post Bravo (quest location in the northeastern portion of the map).
  • Dropped by/Looted From: Dropped by Enclave Soldier during the ‘Echoes of the Past’ quest in the base game. Pyro also drops it at the end of the ‘Pyromaniac’ quest.

In Fallout 4, the easiest way to get the Hellfire Power Armor is by following the steps of the ‘Pyromaniac’ quest. This short quest will send you to a location very close to Listening Post Bravo. You will have to defeat Pyro and a couple of other enemies there. Pyro is wearing the Hellfire Armor, and you can loot the set from him once he’s been killed.

There is another way to get this Power Armor in Fallout 4. The Echoes of the Past quest will send you out to a location in the Glowing Sea and several other Enclave Encampments elsewhere. You’ll be killing some Enclave Hellfire Troopers along the way, and they will also drop the pieces of the Hellfire Power Armor you need.

How to use Hellfire Power Armor?

Fallout 4 Next Gen Update – Bethesda Adds Enclave Quest, Weapons, Armor, Halloween Workshop

In Fallout 4, the Hellfire power armor is very similar in stats to the original X-01. Unfortunately, it’s not as effective as the X-02 Power Armor. Given that the X-02 is also available as part of the base game in Fallout 4, it’s not recommended that you prioritize crafting mods for it. If you’re a completionist, you’ll want the set displayed in your settlement. Thankfully, the Pyromaniac quest is straightforward and fairly short.

If you pick up this armor and use it as a placeholder until you can get the X-02, you might want to invest in at least a jet pack. This will boost your power armor’s mobility without too much investment or cost.

Finally, remember that fusion cores are needed to power your armor. Make sure to visit vendors and keep a good stock on hand. Moreover, the Nuclear Physicist perk from Intelligence will also extend the duration of Fusion cores. Check our Power Armor Build for more details!
