Now that you have the spirit hoe, removing the Polturnip is no longer difficult. To begin your journey to save Edward, return to the present. Then, follow the quest marker to arrive at the marked location. You will cross the Goddess Statue, a spiral ramp that leads downward, narrow alleys, and wooden bridges to finally reach in front of the Polturnip.
Since it is deeply rooted, your next objective is to help it get out of the sand. Interact with the Polturnip to trigger a cutscene where Pino steps in to lead the process, mentioning that farming tools are harder to use than they look. Next, with a quick flash, the Polturnip pops out of the ground. Pino will proudly ask you to remember him for such future endeavors.
Afterward, Pino will join the island. In the next cutscene, you will hear some loud slurping noises.
