After you search all the spots where Kikyo might have been, there is still no sighting of her. However, this time, Paulette finally figures out where Kikyo might be. The sea shanty that the children sang back at the town square points towards the large skull structure known as the southwest caves. Moreover, Kikyo probably heard the song and went to look for the treasure deep in the caves.

Here’s a guide to help you find Kikyo at the southwest caves in Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time.

The southwest caves are a collection of caves in the shape of a large skull structure on the bottom left of the Tropica Isles map. Make sure to talk to Paulette and complete the cutscene to get the “Go to the southwest caves” sub-quest. At the cave entrance, speak with Paulette once more. Your objective now changes to reach the cave’s center. Moreover, the game reveals the name of the dungeon as Yohoho Cavern.

As mentioned before, Yohoho Cavern is a collection of many cave sections connected by paths in cardinal directions. To reach the cave’s center, you have to follow the below-given directions from the entrance. Additionally, you can take a look at your map to see a map marker for your objective location. Here are the directions:

  • Up → Left → Up → Right → Up → Left → Up

Do note that the cave is full of enemies, with the average level being 30. It is recommended to enter the cavern with a well-equipped and high-level party. Additionally, there are many chests and harvestables scattered around the cave, all for you to take. Once you are satisfied with your progress, head to the center of the southwest caves.

A familiar ghostly voice warns you of a monster ambush once you reach the center of the cave, which triggers a cutscene. The monsters turn out to be a group of three Shadow Sharks, with each being at Level 30. Here is their moveset:

  • Bite: Normal bite attack with low range and damage.

  • Shadow Lunge: The Shadow Shark dissolves into the ground and rushes at you in the form of a miasma cloud. This charge attack deals a moderate amount of damage on contact.

  • Thrash: The Shadow Shark thrashes around the place randomly. Dodging this attack is quite hard. Moreover, you should maintain high enough HP to offset the damage.

The best time to strike these enemies is right after the Shadow Lunge attack. They slow down momentarily, providing you the chance to inflict significant damage. Once you defeat the enemies, you discover Kikyo, now transformed into a graceful fan.

Finally, Paulette reveals that Eternia Shells, the treasure of the cave, can only be found in the center of the Yohoho Cavern. Paint made from Eternia Shells never fades – not even in a hundred years. This wraps up your visit to the southwest caves in Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time.
