Here we will be discussing how to find and obtain the Eternia Fern in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
The Eternia Fern is one of the five materials you need for the quest ‘Collect Eternian Materials. This material requires you to adventure your way inside the Elder Tree. Obtaining this material will bring you one step closer to achieving the ultimate goal of crafting the Interfere Gear.

Faraway Island in Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
Obtaining the Eternia Fern is one of the easier quests among the five materials. To begin this hunt, first head to your in-game map. This is also found on the same island as the Eternian Log. Scroll your way to the Faraway Island. Once on the island, scroll up to the extreme north, and you will find the ‘Elder Tree’ just above a zig-zag path. Select the location and fast travel your way there. Once there, run to the right across the blue stretch, and you will reach the quest mark.
A cutscene will trigger where five little plants called the Leafe, led by Leafah, appear. They sing a little song for us. They are interrupted by a band led by Johannes with more metallic music. The original Leafe also joins in and jams along with them. As soon as the cutscene ends, you can now enter the mouth of the tree. Head to the entrance, and you will be taken to the next area.
Eternia Fern in Elder Tree
Once in, you will see three chests in a line at the center of the hall. Collect them and head straight through the gap in the front. As you pass between the two rocky hills, there is a slope taking you up layers of grassy pastures. At the very top is where you will find the Eternia Fern.
Call upon Pino to help with the uprooting, as she is the only one who can do it. It’s a slow process and could vary depending on the level of the equipment she uses. As soon as she is done uprooting, you will have in your possession the Eternia Fern.
