Fantasy Life i The Girl Who Steals Time is a slow life RPG that takes you through the rifts of time. The art style may be cute, but the game is still an RPG at heart, making you pick one of 14 different starting classes, of “Lives” in this instance. Each Life has different traits and playstyles and comes with its own set of challenges called Life Challenges.
While you may be inclined to stick to one Life, the fun comes in meddling with other Lives and mastering them all. The challenges differ from Life to Life. For instance, the Mercenary has battle-related Life Challenges, whereas the Blacksmith’s Life Challenges include challenges such as crafting leather. You get the challenges for your starting Life by default. These challenges can be acquired by talking to Auntie Anne, who will direct you to another NPC that will help you progress challenges.
If you wish to get the challenges of the other Lives, however, you need to change your Life. You change your Life by heading over to the Guild office. Talk to Auntie Anne and select the “Change Life” option. You can then pick from a list of lives. Select the Life you wish to acquire and confirm your selection. Talk to Auntie Anne again, and she will direct you to the Master NPC. You will then have access to the Life Challenges of your new Life. Complete as many challenges as you can to increase your Life Rank and attain new titles.
