In Fantasy Life i: The Girls Who Steals Time, you’ll get access to a range of side quests after you unlock the ability to change lives. Many of these side missions will need you to change lives to accomplish the associated goals. One of the early side quests in the game is A Woodcutter Needs an Axe, where you’ll need to deliver an Oak Axe to the quest giver.
However, it’s possible that you don’t have this item in your inventory by this point. So, you’ll need to find or craft one. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can get your hands on an Oak Axe in Fantasy Life i: The Girls Who Steals Time.
How To Get Oak Axe in Fantasy Life i: The Girls Who Steals Time
There are three major ways of acquiring the Oak Axe in the game. These include:
- Unlock the Woodcutter Life and complete the first Woodcutter quest. The reward for this quest is the Oak Axe.
- Cutting trees in Mysteria often gives you treasure chests with different items inside. One of the possible loot items from these chests is the Oak Axe.
- You can also buy the ordinary quality Oak Axe from the Tool Shop in the Mysteria Capital or from the General Goods in Eternia for 900 Dosh. A notable quality Oak Axe is also available for purchase at the Luxurious Shop in the Mysteria Capital for 5000 Dosh.
However, none of the Oak Axes you receive through the above means will help you finish the “A Woodcutter Needs an Axe” side quest in the game. That’s because the quest giver, Wurke, specifically requests an Oak Axe that’s either of Fine or Great Quality. Instead, you’ll need to craft an axe of this particular quality tier.

How To Craft Fine Quality Oak Axe
Follow the steps mentioned below to get a Good quality Oak Axe in the game.
- Step 1: Unlock the Woodcutter, Miner and Blacksmith lives.
- Step 2: Combine 3x Lumber and 2x Ingots to create a Fine Oak Axe.
If you don’t have these materials, you can buy them from the stores. However, if you unlock the Woodcutter, Blacksmith and Miner lives beforehand, gathering these crafting materials shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
After making the Fine Oak Axe, head back to Wurke with it. Giving the tool to him will earn you 400 Dosh. You’ll also earn the recipe for Bountiful Harvest Box when A Woodcutter Needs an Axe quest ends.
