Catching insects in Fields of Mistria is no easy feat, considering their miniature sizes and unique colors that blend with the environment easily. You need to know about the Singing Katydid if you want to catch them.

This insect has an unusual, rare spawn that makes it quite hard to catch. However, there are some conditions that can help you with it. Here’s how you can catch the Singing Katydid in Fields of Mistria.

The Singing Katydid can be found in the Deep Woods. The Deep Woods were inaccessible until the latest and second huge update in March 2025 was rolled out. If you want to unlock this area, you must break the Fire Seal in the Mines at the Eastern Road, which is also a part of the story quest called ‘Break The Fire Seal’.

After you have unlocked the Deep Woods, you can now hunt for the Singing Katydid. The Katydid has a small, greenish body, which makes it harder to notice in the grass, especially at night. So, you must look for it in the morning to have a higher chance of spotting it.

Additionally, you can increase the display screen in the settings, magnifying the screen and allowing you to see clearly. Once you’ve noticed the Katydid, you can take out your Net and catch it before it flies away.

Where to Use it?

The best use of Singing Katydid is to donate it at Errol’s Museum for Renown points, which will be added to the donation set. Unfortunately, the villagers prominently dislike insects as gifts. Still, you can sell off the duplicate at the General Store for 70 Tesserae.
