One of the most vital resources you’ll encounter is the Health Filament. This is an item essential for maintaining your character’s health and ensuring you’re equipped to face the challenges ahead. Chapter 6 Health Filament in South of Midnight
At this point in South of Midnight, you should have already collected a full trio of health filaments in Chapters 3, 4, and 5. This will have given you your first full health boost. Now in Chapter 6, you can start to find a second set of three.
Furthermore, as with the previous health filaments, there will only be one per chapter going forward. For now, collecting this health filament will restore some HP, but you’ll have to wait until you have all three before your HP increases again.
How to Find Health Filament in South of Midnight Chapter 6
To find the Health Filament in South of Midnight Chapter 6, you’ll need to progress the story until you find a barn with an ‘Old Smoky’ sign above the double doors.
Step 1
First, be on the lookout for a barn with a sign above the doors that says ‘Old Smokey’. The area will be covered in stigma, but there is no obvious knot or haints to fight. Blast the front doors open with the Strand Pull ability. Then, do the same to the back doors. You’ll find a single tin flip back here, as well as a burrow you can send Crouton into. There you will find the stigma knot and unravel it.
Step 2
Next, after you are done dispelling the knot, head back out of the barn and curve around to the left. You should see the ghostly form of a cart back here. Weave it solid, and then you can push it up against the back of the barn with Strand Push.
Step 3
Once the cart is up against the wall, hurry and climb up it before it becomes transparent again. Jump across to the roof, and just in front of Hazel you should see a flimsy patch of wood. You can easily blast this to splinters with the Strand Push ability.
Finally, jump down into the loft of the barn and you will see the Chapter 6 health filament in South of Midnight. Additionally, on the crate next to it you’ll find one of the readable collectibles.
